  1. It is strange though that Pardew has not telt us the craic, he's been quick single out players not pulling there weight in training (i.e Ranger), but as far as i'm aware has not spoke a word on Xisco. In fact I don't believe any manager has since he's been here, just completely left in the dark.
  2. Midfield and attack was this if I remember correctly? Routlege Barton Tiote Arfa Nolan Carroll
  3. Have the french awards been handed out yet mimi? If so who has won?
  4. Did you expect Arsenal to? No? But it still happened - that's the whole point being made here man This season of all seasons, to suggest that everything will go to form is a bit premature. To say we can't do it is frankly ridiculous - Man United have failed to win 11 of their 16 away games so far. well, Jonny, I admire your enthusiasm and if you think that the current team less the likes of Best and Nolan (who played in that Arseanl game) can stage a similar fightback against the best team in the league, you would beliving on cloud cuckoo land. In my opinion, MU will not even break sweat beating us 3-0 at least tomorrow night. I will be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong, but somehow, I doubt it. They are just too good foir us considering our present injury.suspension crisis. They're also better than Wolves, who beat them. Better than Birmingham who they drew with. Better than Villa who they drew with. Better than Sunderland who they drew with. I'm not saying we will beat them or will get something from the game, but it's a lot closer to call than you're suggesting. To suggest the game is over before it's even started is more 'living in cuckoo land'. But I dunno, maybe I'm the only who's been watching the Premier League this season Man U are not the strongest in the centre of the park either, especialy with Scholes out who picked us apart at OT. If we can nulify there wingers (Enrique should have little problems with Valencia if he's on form) then i'd not put it past us been able to control the midfield if we don't give them too much respect. My only fear other than our lack of strikers is that Nani is given far too much space from Simpson, if he is he'll cut us apart
  5. The conspiricy theorists out in full force Why would Ireland be thinking of excuses to not play and attempt to reignite his career? Honestly man.
  6. We could do with him now thats for sure (infact we could have done with him since January). Proper baffeling why he was never given a chance, but obviosly something has went on behind closed doors, he certainky never looked too bad a player during the brief moments we actualy seen him in the first team.
  7. Okay the, so far in the Arsenal v Tottenham battle it's: Arsenal - 0 Tottenham - 1 Everton - 1
  8. The last 2 posts are spot on imo Dresden & Sewelly's
  9. His goals apart I thought he was quite average against Man City myself and today he was woeful. I'm probably like a broken record I know but I truly believe as a footballer he is really average and although he will cause a side problems with his height and strength a smart defender or tactics would easily nulify him in my opinion. a lot of goalscorers would be classed like that. Not £35m ones shearer wouldn't have got a game for us in midfiled and that was a world record fee. You've lost me there. he was the equivlient of the current 35mill striker and never seemed to be a brilliant footballer, just very effective at scoring goals and leading the line. like carroll. Don't agree with that, think Shearer was twice as good on the deck. Not to mention being cleverer and more sensible... and carrolls better in the air. carroll is also better on the deck than he's given credit for. Better than he is given credit for, maybe. Better than Shearer? No chance. andy carroll can go past a man with the ball more often than shearer ever used to. neither are fantastic footballers, shearer was on his own as a goalscorer but then he was the most expensive player in the world, carroll isn't. Go past a man with the ball more often than Shearer? I couldn't disagree more, not sure where you're getting that from. years of watching. You seem to only remember Shearer post injury at Everton. i doubt carroll could dash past the full back and whip in a pin point ball from the byline like Shearer did for Ferdinhands header against Man U. Sublime piece of play from a centre forward that was
  10. Who s*** on your cornflakes this morning? You took a blatent joke answer and got worked up. Get over it man only an idiot would think comparing Best and Bale was serious well i've been pure whooshed then, fair play
  11. Got you mixed up with dresden, still your whole argument is utter shite
  12. Aye and Best hadnt played a Premier League game til January this year and has to carry Lovenkrands most games, Nani has more goals, Nasri has more goals etc. I never claimed he was better than Nani or Nasri, or that he had scored more goals than them, I infact made it clear that he hasn;t been the best player in the league by a long shot, all I said was 7 goals is a good return, which it is. Luka Modric, who your arguing has been better than Bale only has 2 goals man, you making no sense at all and completely contradicting yourself to extaordinary levels with each consecutive post.
  13. Since Greaves, i reckon. This. Shearer's as a goal scoring at Blackburn (and early Newcastle days) was absoltely sublime, his goalscoring record during that time was ridicilous and I doubt there is many people in the English game who have a better goals to games ratios during a 5-6 year period, ever. And although you can say Carroll is better in the air due to shear size and power, there's no way he's a better header of the ball than shearer ever was, both attacking it and flicking it on. Carroll is 22 ffs. I'm too young to know what Shearer was like at Southampton/Blackburn but I don't see any reason why Carroll won't become as good as Shearer. I never said he would or wouldnt, did I Just saying he hasn't got as good technique with his head than Shearer ever had, his age is irelivant. If he gets better during his career then fair enough, but he may stay at the same level, he may get worse etc. We can only argue the current Carroll, not some hypothetical future Carroll

  15. He is a winger to be fair like Rodger, 7 goals is a good return. Still though he hasn't been the best player in the league this season, not by a long shot.
  16. The other side of easy going smiling Kenny was revealed there when the mask slipped. I wonder what he will be like if things dont go to plan. Rape? Murder?
  17. I wouldn't say Parker was untoo underated, he seemed well liked tbh, just people found that he suffered from Damien Duff syndrome and just never advanced play enough from what I can remember. He's undoubtadly got better at that of late though, still not enough to be classed as one of the best midfielders in the league like, thats just MOtD sensationalism that people eat up.
  18. From what i've seen when Parker has come up against a decent midfielder he's been absolutely dominated
  19. f***ing HELL?! SAGNA?! VdS Ivanovic (I know he played mainly CB) - Vidic - Kompany - Baines Nani - Wilshere - Parker - Modric Tevez - Berbatov I think. I agree with that, exept Parker who's having a great yet masively over-exagerated season. Come on, i have Nasri bias but i think Parker has been a driving force for them this season, would love him at Arsenal playing alongside Wilshere and behind Cesc. Aye he's having a great season, he's the standout playing in a horrid side. He hasn't been one of the top 2 central midfielders in the league though is all im saying, absolutely no where near imo
  20. Also if Bale won the PotY then how did he also not win the YPotY?
