I think it's been apparant for over a year now that anything CH says to the media is absolute bullsh*t. Would just take it with a pinch of salt, certainly wouldn't judge his managerial credentials through it. The hockey thing was about how they changed the game from negative to positive and this is what I meant. I hated watching Chelsea (particularly) and manyoo in those years as they had big physical players (Ronaldo even) and would adopt a "stop them" attitude instead of a "go out and beat them" one against the top continental teams. I distinctly recall that Spanish LB for Chelski trying to murder Messi and being sent of for it but that's just one of a few games they played. Any major injury to Gerrad and Woy is bonned. I see where you're coming from but the point isn't as powerful as it was a couple of seasons ago. Gerrard is on the way downhill and can't carry the team as he once did. Torres hasn't looked interested thus far this season as well. All in all, delightful. Torres really looks like he's had enough. But you wouldn't expect them to still talk about what was (iirc) a proffesional foul on the half way line 2 years later. why not, he was asked about it and says he was on the end of a similar soert of tackle. I may be thinking of the wrong challenge to be honest. bartons tackle on nasri was nowhere near as bad as de jongs (or bartons tackle on alonso) but it was meant to be a "marker" type challenge. And like he actualy thought of all this before giving his opinion on the tackle... He was asked about the tackle, he gave his honest opinion, it's a shite opinion like but what can you do. To suggest he should lose his job because of this is absolutely rediculas.
