  1. Burnley should be fucking buzzin, not furious like
  2. For £20m we could probably be going for someone like Cabral, man.
  3. £20m I think it's a good signing like but we're being raked over the coals here and giving Burnley a massive lifeline.
  4. Watford are shite. We can probably beat them even without a striker on a good day. It just feels like we've gotten ourselves into a position where we're gambling a bit which is annoying.
  5. We could go on a run later in the season even if we lose both and still stay up. Winning on Saturday just makes things a lot less stressfull and makes our position in the transfer market a bit easier.
  6. Gayle has to start if fit like, not even sure why this would be questioned
  7. Aye, not sure what i'm allowed to say without being accused of wetting the bed or claiming it's easy to sign players in January like. But i'm pretty sure there was SOME WAY that we could have had a recognised striker in for Watford. Like I think it's fair for me to suggest that, in some alternative reality, we signed a striker either on loan or for cheap and never went into Saturday playing ASM up top by himself.
  8. Very Strong defensive contribution according to Who Scored
  9. Should spread runours that their DoF is a nonse for wasting our time.
  10. Fuck knows who he is just buy him.
  11. I don't buy it like, if we cannot convince players to look past our league position then I think we're doing something wrong. It could be bollocks, Digne might not even want to go to Villa either who knows. The buzz around Villa Park since signing Courtinho shows us what signing players does though.
  12. Well aye because Villa (and Gerrard) are doing the right things. Do you think the PIF would have expected Villa to be a more attractive destination than us when they took over a couple of month ago?
  13. Again, regardless of us being 2nd bottom, if we're struggling to sell ourselves to players despite having the richest owners on the planet then we're doing something wrong. Villa, who have been absolutely shite up until the last couple of month, are doing something right. This is just going off of paper talk. We may actually have some exciting stuff lined up.
  14. We're likely going to get relegated if we don't add genuine quality to the side, preferably starting before the Watford game. It's irrelevant whether or not the previous owner was shite or whether or not the new owners are trying. If we're looking at the window so far, and the players were linked with, we're taking a massive gamble on going down. If we have a few under the radar then fair enough but we can hardly discuss those can we?
  15. We're aproaching the middle of January and have signed a right back. I think it's fair enough to point out that we need to get a shift on like
  16. If we're struggling to convince players to sign over Aston Villa then we're doing a really bad job of selling our project like. Either or it's not great. Either we're not offering enough money, we're not selling ourselves well enough, or we believe signing players like Todd Cantwell makes more sense than Courtinho. This is assuming the paper talk is largely correct though, as we don't have much else to go on.
  17. Aye, I can understand the idea behind it but if Todd Cantwell is the limit of our budget for midfield then we're down like.
  18. If it is true that we're missing out on players like Courtiho (who probably keeps us up by himself) and Digne because they're out of our wage structure then it would be absurd if we were considering paying £17m for Chris Wood.
  19. I don't think it's just wages though, Digne seems to have been dead set against signing all window. Villa seem to have convinced the world that Steven Gerrard is going to reinvent Total Football or something. They're doing something right and I doubt it's just them overpaying.
  20. Bit embarrassing if we cannot convince players to sign ahead of Villa like If we go into Watford having only signed a right back then I'll be wondering if we're taking staying in the league seriously like. Or if they're fully aware of how bad our squad is. We're desperate for a left back and Digne is absolutely perfect.
  21. Like as much as I think it could be a decent signing we essentially want him to play the next couple of games and then be replaced by a new striker and/or Wilson for the remainder of the season. After that he would hopefully just be a plan b when we're struggling to beak a side down.
  22. You would hope Wood (if we're after him) would be 1 of 2 strikers we're signing this window like. If he's the only striker we sign then we're still a Wilson injury away from being relegated
  23. He should know, because he should be able to field a team of reserves or youth players or some shit like he was obviously expecting us to do.
