Manquillo is shite, but Dummett's injured, and Yedlin was giving away more goals than Manquillo. What other options are there? Ritchie apparently I've got no issue with Manquillo playing RB ahead of Yedlin if he's solid there like. At LB we look fucked without Dummett unless Mbemba's performance against West Brom was a one off which it might have been (previous performances suggest it was).

He was canny bad against West Brom, Phillips had the better of him all night. Most people were wrong about him being our best LB if that game is anything to go by, however Bentiez clearly agreed that Manquillo at LB wasn't working so I'm struggling to see what you're getting at by mocking people who wanted Benitez to do what Benitez ended up agreeing with. Without Lascelles we're shipping about 5 goals a game so everything is probably in vein, but Manquillo and Joselu have legitimately been utter shit and I find it canny hard to argue that anyone was wrong for wanting them out of the side (or away from LB in Manquillo's case).

Howay man. Other than his ability to put a ball in Ritchie's best attribute is his workrate. Hard working wingers are often put in at fullback when playing a back 3. He seems to have done shite and I'd probably wait a while until trying him there again like.

I get it with the likes of Doumbia but Mbemba doesn't even look old. He has a good hairline, his face is youthful. There's basically nothing about him that makes him look older than 23.

I think we'll buy in January regardless of a takeover and I think Rafa will eventually see us right, but our squad is the worst in the league. That was looking pretty likely way back at the start of the season but it's pretty blatant now.
