  1. Sounds completely made up. He definitely runs an underground fight club at Darsley Park.
  2. Think its the kind of thing that should be left to the manager aye You reckon Benitez should have floored Diame?
  3. be fine to play the next game you'd imagine though aye? EDIT: Yeah
  4. Why don't they just move Christmas Eve to the 23rd?
  5. If it's just that then it's pretty stupid to change the name just after they'd managed to get it known to everyone. Is it not just becoming part of Wor Hyem?
  6. He completely went off on one like, even though he was being fact checked constantly by everyone he 100% maintained his completely absurd position It was fucking weird.
  7. Am I missing something here? Just seems like they're merging with the Wor Hyem (I proper hate that name mind ) group with a few people dropping out so have announced a disbanding so people know what's going on?
  8. Theoretically 28 billion. But. Thinks of her as your financial adviser or pension guy if you have one. Her job is to make your money grow. Her investors won't give a flying f*** about NUFC and probably haven't even heard of us. The one certainty is that if she invests money from the fund she manages into a football club, she is duty bound to take more money out of it than she put in. Would you want your pension fund manager sanctioning 60 million of funds to buy Kyle Walker or 35 million to buy Jordan Pickford ? Unlikely. She helped broker the deal for the group who have done exactly that? The greatest ever example of ruining your own point, right there. Well done Benwell Lad. You probably need to read what I wrote a little more carefully. She brokered the deal for Man City on behalf of a mega wealthy individuals who have almost bottomless pockets and no one to answer to. If she buys into a football club on behalf of her managed fund, then they are only in it for growth and unlikely to want much more than a sensible annual return. Two completely different scenarios. Surely you can understand that ? Ahh apologies, you were just throwing some random scenarios into the mix? Well then yeah, if we're bought by someone who isn't wanting to invest money then yeah, they won't invest money. Thanks for clearing that up. Fuck me, I give up Give up what? I can't work out what you're trying to achieve? Just trying to educate people on how investment in a football club works? All he did was make 2 posts stating what he thinks her role will likely be if she personally 'buys' the club; ie she will be running it with someone elses money and probably with the instruction of turning a profit as she assumingly couldn't afford to buy it herself. That's different to the Manchester City deal as she just helped broker the deal, she has no part in actually running the club.
  9. aye I need to wind my neck in like. @Alta ofcourse mate, it'd be a ridiculous day like
  10. I think I'm just shit scared of success tbh I quite like being the 'sleeping giant'. I like it when I meet a Newcastle fan from outside the area now, I doubt that'll be the case if we'd just won the double and suddenly every cunt is supports us, chiming in with their awful opinions
  11. I would actually prefer sensible money tbh I get why people would be excited by us hoying 500m each window at players but I really don't want us to turn into some soulless gloryhunting side. I get that that we've been soulless for the majority of Ashley as well as being shit like.
  12. "BUT likes #nufc!" So he just added this part himself then?
  13. No idea what you're going on-about here mind, I've never claimed Liverpool deserved to win and Mole said we deserved the draw in a post I was agreeing with. I was just making the fairly innocuous point that Liverpool should have scored another - how deep you want to look into that is upto you like. We got off massively with the Clark mistake (and followup) and with the bit of play at the beginning of the game when Shelvey's shot deflected right into Salah's stride. If you want to play some game of trying to argue me into the ground with some weighting of the Diame chance being worth more or equal to their chances or something then I'll just concede now like as I cannot be bothered @1964 that stat means nothing in relation to how the game actually went though so I don't know why it's being brought up. We limited them very well but they were still the most dangerous side and looked most likely to score throughout the game.
  14. Shelvey's quick passing was far better than Merino's yesterday like. I do think that's one of Merino's biggest strengths from what we've seen though, when on form he'll nip the ball back and knock it forward with ease. I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to say Shelvey needs loads of time to pick a pass though.
  15. Liverpool should have won the game like. As well as I think we played and as bad as they think they were on another day we probably need another goal there. It wasn't an onslaught though, and I felt oddly comfortable throughout the game.
  16. I really don't want us to sell out to The Saudi's like. Obviously Ashley has to go but I never wanted it to be like this Nowhere near as exited as I would have been 10 years ago, I'm not even arsed about us being that good, I just want us to try.
  17. He can hit a great pass like but it's obviously not his game. Busquets is a fantastic passer too, but he doesn't play the game like Pirlo did.
  18. Yeah I got Busquets vibes from the Dennis Wise scouting and he's never looked like he was going to be raking balls about while he's been here. Not sure why people keep talking about him as if he's a creative midfielder tbh, the Chronicle were at it after the game again. Maybe because our 'defensive' players are usually like Tiote or Parker.
  19. Think it was the opposition tbh, Shelvey was even deeper and was the creative midfielder. I really liked his role tbh, it seemed to allow Shelvey a lot of space throughout the game.
  20. Not sure i agree tbh, all i remember is the constant complaints that Mitrovic was almost never in goalscoring positions. Really? He gets into goalscoring positions fairly often he's just absolutely terrible at kicking a football. At least in terms of comparing him to Joselu.
  21. He's stronger than Joselu and looks far more of a threat attacking the ball like, and I don't even think Mitrovic is THAT good at attacking the ball given his stature. He fairly often causes problems for defences which Joselu just isn't doing. Joselu might get better but if he doesn't do anything next game I cannot see why we shouldn't be giving Mitrovic a chance, unless it's purely as punishment. At worst it's almost a straight swap.
