  1. Canny hilarious reading the Huddersfield fans just not understand football like It's almost as if they never came to SJP earlier in the season and defend themselves to a win. They're a really good side with some really promising young players, 3rd in the league, and we completely nullified them. It was lush.
  2. Of course he would now We have a 21 year old with no Premiership experience and Jack Colback. You would hope we would sign at least a couple of central midfielders, atleast one of them younger and better than Michael Carrick.
  3. Dummett will have Kachunga in his pocket. Just need whoever is upfront to take their chances.
  4. http://readnewcastle.com/2017/03/03/a-huddersfield-fans-view-ahead-of-newcastle-clash/ This is a decent read regarding Huddersfield, mainly this bit: David Wagner has certainly been the face of all the changes at the club, we’ve even officially branded it the “Wagner Revolution”, but the truth is there’s lots more going on behind the scenes. This has all come from a desire from our excellent Chairman, Dean Hoyle, for a “step change” in how we did things. We’ve introduced £180 season tickets to attract fans, and then replaced our chief executive with someone more in-line with this “fans-first” mindset. We’ve changed our training complex inside out, and hired a wealth of new health, fitness and analysis staff. Meanwhile, our Director of Football, Stuart Webber, has played a huge part; our new signings have almost all proved to be fantastic Championship players, but at bargain prices, meanwhile it was rumoured to be Webber who found David Wagner in the first place. Contrary to popular belief, we were in contact with Wagner way before Liverpool started talking to his mate Klopp! However, saying that, none of this investment would’ve taken place if Wagner wasn’t such a great manager and such a huge success. Under previous “merry-go-round” managers, you always got the feeling that funds were there for investment, but that the chairman was not convinced there was a project worth piling our limited budget into.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if Perez started up top tbh. Gayle playing after 3-4 days training worries me a bit, we cannot have him walking off and out for another few weeks.
  6. We'll be desperate for CMs if we we go back up, I'd not be adverse to a 36 year old Carrick sitting on our bench tbh. Barry's still an Everton regular.
  7. Saw a piece from a Brighton fan who thought Shelvey bossed the game too. I never noticed him tbh.
  8. Have to take the positives with the negatives though, we've missed influential vocal players like him and Shelvey.
  9. The fact he's blatantly a complete radge packet scores points with me, hope he continues to be a big player if we go up.
  10. fully agree like, I think it's fully down to Rafa getting the best tactically out of what is a group of good but not great players who've just been thrown together. It's not going to be perfect but he knows how to get results. It can be tense to witness though.
  11. Aye, that penalty killed them, until then they were brilliant. Think we saw the benefits of Rafa after HT.
  12. So from the dreaded run in so far we've won 2 from 3 (discounting Bristol becuase they're Bristol). I was honestly expecting 0 points becuase I'm a wet fanny of a man.
  13. Has to start against Huddersfield like.
  14. Get some links up. http://i.imgur.com/EyZnk5d.jpg Hopefully 54 and his dad bagged up then.
  15. fucking get in, rafa is my god. Watched that with a random brighton fan in warrington, felt utterly ashamed when Diame's goal went in.
  16. Other than the obvious advantages of Gouffran upfront in a Benitez side he's also probably far more likely to be on the end of Atsu flashing balls across the 6-yard box than Mitro is. The more I think about it the less worried I am tbh.
