Why wouldn't we keep Dummett?

No chance anyone wouldn't be affected by it like. I was really suprised it was less than 24-hours when the released the kick off time last night.

He can take longer if he wants to like, or ever ask for assistance from his staff. I'm not saying it was easy, but the broadcast angle is a bit deceptive. It was pretty clearly outside the box from closer angles.

We all saw it from the same angle from the other end of the pitch where it looked a stone waller though. It's the referees job to be in a position where he can see if a player is a foot outside the box or not.

He's been asked to play there a few times in the past couple of month or so when Colback has come off and has generally been pretty anonymous. It's not like he was coming back from injury or anything either, he's been fully fit whenever he's went into the middle.

Do you think Diame's genuinely been better than Colback in the middle? EDIT: I've wanted to see Diame in the middle all season but now that he's had a run out there he's been no better than Colback, and we've been no more threatening going forward as a side than we have been with Colback. I thought the same with Atsu over Gouffran but we looked no more threatening then either. Rafa's just choosing the 'safer' of the shit options.

In fairness it took him about 40 games to be proven right about Diame in the centre. Same with Atsu and Ritchie on the wings together. I have an inkling that if he stuck Mitrovic and Gayle up top it'd be a similar story - we'll just look the same as we do with Perez/Diame behind. It's pretty clear that most of how we play (good or bad) - more than any past manager - has more to do with what we're doing in training than the team he picks on a weekend.

This is it. Dummett is a perfect example of someone who completely hinders our play. We're really missing Yedlin imho. Yet Rafa bought a LB and refuses to play him, who's at fault for that ? Admittedly the player might not have shown enough but Rafa picked him out to buy. You can't legislate for every buy nor every player being suitable for English football tbqh. If Rafa is the problem then he's a great problem to have tbqh. Rafa's not a problem, he'll get it right of that i've no doubt (if the club give him the funds he needs). My point is, he keeps getting defended by the poorness of the players, yet he bought a fair chunk and now doesn't use those. He should be immine from stick in that regard. He bought (or loaned) most of those you mentioned as back-up though, which they've been. We saw in January the bullshit he has to deal with.

Why would Murphy start ahead of Gayle anyway? Fucking hell man
