I like how they think it's going to be an enjoyable season. We made it look easy by playing relatively shite for half a season and still winning it but they would have needed 80 points (and a high GD) to finish in the top 6 this year. The league's probably as hard as it's ever been to get out of, I doubt they'll make the play-offs.

I think we'll sign a couple of wingers and get rid of both. I just cannot see Benitez signing a player he rarely played ahead of - as Sewelly says - a 30 year old Yoan Gouffran we tried to peddle last summer ahead of a Championship season I know he's still pretty young and it's only around ~£6m like.

We'll see, if we sign Atsu and get rid of Gouffran I'll set my cock on fire.

I cannot see why not if we're short on the wings like. I certainly cannot see why Rafa would choose to buy a player for £6m ahead of him who he clearly rates less.

To me it's a no brainer tbh, although it depends on what Rafa wants to sign. I'd agree like. Benitez choosing Gouffran over him every week in the Championship doesn't give him much hope for the Premiership though. If anything I'd expect us to offer Gouffran a new contract. I like Atsu despite his inconsistency though.

His form noticeably picked up and he got better at a time in the season when a lot of others got worse for some reason, he's a big reason we're Champions. Before Christmas I'd have happily sacked him off.
