Were they risks though? He seems to only pull the trigger when he's certain he's getting quality, so I don't think we can call them any more gambles than anyone else we've signed or have bid for. We've went in for Pedro, Ekitike, and (it seems) Sesko, so we know he's trying to replace Isak with a young forward.
-
He's one of the best strikers in the league and we're going into a CL season needing to finish in the top 4. Villa's gamble was the right thing to do as PSR means you have no choice but to take risks.

I imagine the stats don't back me up, but I cannot think of another player I've seen miss absolute sitters than Strand Larson

Tbf this might be where Froggy has a point, as Ashley might have been better at Man Utd than the Glaziers have been, but that's a different conversation.
-
Literally relegated twice due to neglect and some whoppers don't understand how bad he was I'd get new mates frogster, you might think it's comforting knocking about with people who wank your opinions off but they're not good for you.

He must be a massive fan of the project Amorim is heading down there.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

He might be an average keeper but I don't think he's bland. He's a total tit, arguably the most annoying cunt in the league, and has a great driven pass on him. We'll love him. -
Hope isn't to be believed We have money to spend and Howe isn't a dopey cunt.
-
How? We'll have a better squad than last season where we nearly finished 2nd. We can learn from Villa and strengthen in Jan if we need more fuel in the tank for Europe

The negativity is well over the top, things seem fucked because Isak has fucked our transfer plans up, and we've went from looking like a club trying to challenge for the title (Isak & Ekitike up top, Trafford, Scalvini etc) to a one probably just challenging for top 4. We'll sign players and be better by the end of the window than we are now, it's just a kick in the teeth that our ambitions have fallen on their face a bit.
-
So players aren't signing because the training ground isn't sorted yet? Players believe in the project at Man Utd instead? @oldtype made the point the other day that everyone seems to be strengthening this window and we're competing with clubs who can afford more wages in a way we weren't before.

His passing is outrageous tbf, similar to Bruno he doesn't have great numbers, but whenever I watch him he's dinking a ball in behind the defence and completely taking them out of the game.
-
Aye definitely, the 4 of them would give us great depth. Paqueta mucks in defensively too though.
-
I love Joelinton and think there's no reason to actively replace him, but Paqueta is miles ahead
-
Fans were turning up to the training ground wanting to kick the shit out of Gordon

I mean if they've told him they'd then him go for £27m and then went back on it then they are the cunts like, seems a mad thing to promise a player contracted to you though
