Isak has his issues though. Playing with one up top and against it he's completely useless, and his legs are made of straw. If Sesko can be made into a 20 goal a season striker he could be a better fit. He'd be better suited to playing alongside another striker too.

I don't think he necessarily has to be refusing to take part, but at the very least Howe obviously isn't happy with how he's went on.

Starting to regret gloating that Liverpool don't have a 9 and we'd end up with both Isak and Ekitike I would be amazed (and a bit disappointed) if Howe isn't cutthroat about this tbh. We cannot have players skipping pre-season because they regret signing their contract.

If you're scoring 5 goals a season and they're all scrappy then it's probably a bit of luck, but 19 goals is obviously down to having the fitness and knowledge to constantly be in dangerous positions.

Wissa is a better striker than Ekitike atm (I think Ekitike will be quality at Liverpool though), my only issue is neither Wissa or Isak are a great target to hit, and I don't think they'll be playing up top together unless it's for the last 30 minutes of a game we need a goal. It's entirely possible the formation change was just people putting 2 & 2 together and Ekitike was always planned to be backup first and foremost though.

Wonder if Wissa has a say in his contract being extended the extra year, £30m seems a bit too good to be true.
