If we're keeping Isak for a season then Jackson would be pretty exciting imo, as we'd be buying another number 9 next summer you would think. If we end up with Jackson and Wissa though that's our front line sorted for the next few years, and it's not really the stuff we've dreamt of Edit: Jackson is worth £50m like, easily. He's just not a number 9.

Jackson just doesn't feel like a number 9, I'd much prefer even just going with Wissa. We need someone who can finish.

Nah I think you're right, but you are still paying £150k-200k for new signings where as we've never offered over £120k as far as I know. Bruno, Gordon & Joelinton have been rewarded improved contracts of around £150k.

Man Utd may have sorted out their wage structure but they're still offering new signings atleast £150k a week, which is about what our highest earners are on after they've earned a new contract. The rest seem to be around £80k-120k. We don't know how close Sesko was to signing, but our negotiating team have their hands tied a bit here. "Go buy other players who we can actually get!"... We still can.

Genuine question, but does his inflexibility not worry you (or do you think I'm overreacting here)? It looks like you'll have an excellent side in transitions, but when sides suss out your new first XI I don't think he showed any capacity last year to switch it up.
