Me, Myself & Elgin by Andy Goram.

And obviously by Joe Allen I mean Leon Britton

Swansea aren't exactly full of massive fuck off beasts, Joe Allen looks about 5 ffs. There obviously is a lot of time for physical players and being a physical presence helps, but there are many exceptions to the rule.

Martinez is another manager who probably wouldn't be my first choice (nowhere near actually) but has a far better understanding of football tactically than Pardew. There's obviously more to it than that, but unlike Martinez Pardew has a fucking brilliant set up at Newcastle.
-
He done really well with Tottenham and he plays good football. He's hardly done bad at Fulham either. Basically he's better than Pardew.

It really is the worst film ever made like, seen it about half a dozen times in various states of disarray with my mate. Most of the actors a football hooligans and other 'hard men'. The Alex Reid sex scene in the forest is gold though.

 Ner, I just think you're coming up with some absolutely f***ing preposterous excuses for why we are currently in a relegation battle. You said something about a middle ground in your other post, maybe you should heed your own advice a little? He isn't as bad a manager as this season has made him out to be, as I've said I don't think he's ever really had it perfect whilst he was here, however the cracks were apparent last season and this season has further highlighted them. He isn't a great manager and we'd do well to get rid. So you agreeing with me That is what i'm saying... He isn't as bad as he's being made to look this season... The players i've mentioned all have performed better than the players mentioned as their supposed superior replacements... (Guthrie+Best vs Anita+No one) ...No manager will have it perfect under how we operate... I've never said he is a great manager... All I've argued (from the very start) is when we get rid who do we get and why... So i ask you... Who would you suggest and why? I've probably gotten the wrong end of the stick so apologies if so. But although we haven't directly replaced Best we haven't actually really needed too. He was only involved last season because of the African Cup of Nations and injury but this season we've been fairly lucky up front, Cisse and/or Ba have been able to play pretty much every game. Anita doesn't really fit into Pardew's formation/style* so I would say Guthrie looking better than him is partly down to that, and why I think another manager would get more out of him. *I realise that he probably wasn't Pardew's choice, but imo him and Marveaux are the types of players we should be getting the best out of.

He's a much better 'footballer' than Tiote and is (this bit is funny) better physically than Anita. We could've done with him. My biggest issue with Guthrie was his stamina like Cabaye's isn't up to scratch for a top flight PL footballer. I'm sad to see this Cabaye stamina thing becoming a bit of an accepted reality on here. Distance covered data is difficult to get a hold of for whatever reason, but there were loads of articles last season (and one from earlier in this one) showing just how much work he puts in: October 2011: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Newcastle-Yohan-Cabaye-is-hardest-working-player-in-Premier-League-stats-reveal-article812018.html December 2011: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/yohan-cabaye-clocks-up-miles-1408521 March 2012: The Mag = "Any idea which player covered most distance for Newcastle against the Gunners? That would be Yohan Cabaye with 5.27 miles." November 2012: Footy Place = "For the seventh time this season, Yohan Cabaye topped the distance run charts for Newcastle with 6.55 miles against West Ham." It happens all the time Someone declares some random nonsense with authority and it spreads like wildfire. Before we know it Coloccini has "lost a yard of pace", Cisse has missed proper loads of sitters, and Yohan Cabaye is physically unfit.

Cisse has seldom been injured and up until the summer (when we bought Gouffran) his potential striker partner was Demba Ba. I don't think the situation has ever been ideal for Pardew but "he didn't have Leon Best of Danny Guthrie" is one of the strangest reasons I will ever read for a team finishing a season in a relegation scrap.

He started the season with a smaller squad with less quality than the previous season but with an added competition... I personally don't think it takes a genius to see where some of the problems lie... I was talking about last season Ba, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Santon, Cisse & Marveaux were all bought for him. Regardless of how much was spent he had a very strong squad assembled for him. As for the last sentence, if the manager not being up to task is one of those problems then I agree. Ben Arfa was already there... And you don't mention all the players we lost... Ba has gone... So that leaves Cabaye who's had as many poor games as good... Same can be said for Santon and Marveaux... Cisse has done well but he has had to replace Carroll+Best in reality... I think some on here massively over-hype our players to compensate the criticism of a manager ... The truth normally lies much closer down the middle... I think it's abundantly clear that we have some very talented players at the club, they've shown it both here and at their previous clubs, and some on the international stage too. What we haven't seen is this group of players play above themselves for any period of time and that's pretty telling. In short a better manager than Pardew would get far more out of these players. Hence, for the sake of my own sanity I would much prefer a better manager... "But who do we get?!" I don't know, but I do know that there are dozens probably even hundreds out there better suited to the task
-
That's already two things he's got going for him over Pardew. "Plays shit football" "Is a cunt"

I wouldn't say Pardew has had a shoe string budget like. We do well financially but he's had very good resources to work with and was effectively given a whole new squad.
-
I love the idea that the fans should be looking for the alternatives mind It's Ashley's job to find the man and if he cannot find a replacement better than Alan Pardew he wants stringing up by his nipples.
-
He'll get as much credit as he deserves, he got to the Europa League quarter finals, it's not exactly a monumental achievement like.

We did well but ultimately Anzhi were the only side we bested who ultimately could be classed as any good. Bordeaux finished ahead of us in the group stages and Benfica knocked us out.
