Even with these signings we're still one of the weakest sides in the league in terms of depth, central midfield aside. Make no mistake they've done a great job bringing them in, but the cracks they are filling should have been filled a long time ago.

I just cannot help feel that he (as Remy would have been) has been brought in because of his versatility and not solely because of his quality as either a wide forward OR a striker. That's why I'd prefer another through the door, preferably a proper winger.

I hope he's seen as back-up and not our starting forward alongside Cisse and Hatem, at least by next season anyway. Granted I haven't really seen much of him but he's never exactly struck me as anything more than an average player.
