Guthrie was arguably out best player in about half a dozen games last season, I think he would have started ahead of Bigi but I'm glad he hasn't had the chance too. -

Didn't someone put a picture up last season saying it looked as though he had a hernia? -
I think playing Cisse upfront will see us create more chances tbf, obviously having Ben Arfa and Cabaye in the side will increase that, but Cisse's movement will be a massive plus for us.
-
It's been said many times, but it really is so weird how rigid he is in everything he does, even continuing to lump Cisse out on the wing just because that's where he's been training to play for the 3 days leading up to the Everton game, but anywhere between 25 - 60 minutes in every game he decides to throw caution to the wind and starts changing everything around. I think he's displaying the early signs of dementia.
-
If we fail to bring anyone else in Mike and Decka will be stoned.

62 goals in 224 games is shit? Obviously he could offer more than goals but his record doesn't inspire me with much confidence. He has 10 in 26 this season though, which is the stat that matters. EDIT: I might be talking shit here like I dunno, his Wikipedia page seems mental.

That's great

I think we're linked with Güiza (thank god for copy and paste) every window tbh.

It's been said before but just look how much Bains effects Everton, now I'm not saying I expect Debuchy to be anywhere near Bains' level, but a quality player in a full back position cannot be underestimated. Santon was probably our best player for the first quarter and a bit of this season, and tbh I expect Debuchy to be better than Santon at this point.

Adam Campbell is disturbingly small, man. -
It's just the brutal honesty of it, he's always been like that with the bigger names though, Ben Arfa being the biggest example.

The Premiership's first gay hero.
-
Knowing Pardew and watching us for the last half of the season he probably literally has the squad pulling up trees in some kind of Rocky 4-esque rigorous training regime.
-
The only context in which that quote isn't utterly fucking weird would be if he was asked, "Give us a weird quote about Debuchy?" I'm guessing the actual question was "How has Debuchy looked so far?" or something to that effect, to which any other manager would respond "he's done well and he's a good pro".
-
Why say "he's not pulling up trees"? There's no logical reason to say that at all.

Agree entirely, which makes it all the more baffling that we pandered to his demands to play centrally. That was only ever done to put himself in the shop window so he could engineer a move under his release clause. If we'd have stuck him wide and played Cisse through the middle then not only would the team have looked better but Chelsea would probably never have wanted Ba either. We shot ourselves in BOTH feet with that one. For the final time, he played centrally because he scored goals. Started the season 4-4-2 he scored some goals but results where poorish. Went to Everton, he got dropped, came off the bench and scored twice. He earned the role and never looked back. Thanks for clearing that up, Alan, but would you please do the honourable thing and walk.
-
The fat that people were saying we have to sell Ba to (possibly) make our team look half decent says so much. Widespread Pardaganda. You're twisting what people were saying for some odd reason, Pardew is/was the problem, the vast majority of people will agree with this.

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?

He's so much more handsome nowadays, the same with Sergio Ramos. It's amazing what a difference sorting yourself out can make. -
Norwich City vs Newcastle United - 12/01/13 @ 3pm (not on TV)

We're not much better suited to 4-4-2 mind, what with having only 1 striker. -
I think there's about a 50% chance of us getting a striker and a about a 25% chance of us getting a CB.

This is one of the most ridiculous and nonsensical posts in the entire history of my duration on this forum. Mike's usually something of a wordsmith, but I've read that 4 times now and I still have no idea what's going on.
