Speak for yourself. If it pushes Shola closer to damnation I'd say it's f***ing brilliant. Very much this de Jong only has to beat 0 goals in 749 minutes!
-
It'll be hilarious if Rooney just runs down his contract and walks away on a Bosman. It's not Moyes fault, but Rooney's in a very strong bargaining position at the moment.

Them's the rules. What a berk!

The improvement in Debuchy should provide greater leeway for playing HBA on that side. He looks up to Prem speed now. With a double DM formation like yesterday, the attacking and creative players really have to produce otherwise there is no threat.

Could have gone either way. Looked a penalty on an idiotic push by Flamini. Anita was also bundled over (Sky said Sissoko, but I think it was the red boots) about 10 seconds before the Tiote foul they scored from. Obviously we cocked up on the marking, but no more than Chesney did on his clearance. So unlucky on the whole.

Anita bundled over from behind and gets nothing

What was up with HBA's shorts there?

Contained them great and created the better chances. If the plan is about keeping it level till the last 30mins like at ManU, it's working so far. Its looking well poised for HBA to come on. They look wobbly when we attack them though, so maybe a bit more positivity wouldn't have gone amiss. We haven't looked that stretched at the back, maybe partly due to their absentees.

The onus must be on Cabaye to get forward. Remy will be isolated otherwise.

This is even better than Ba getting a hat-trick at their place!!

I didn't realise Sorenson was still playing. -
Ferk me, pantomime time. Behind you!

Considering how happy some of the gloryhunter fans at least would be to see the back of him, it's funny how dependent they are on Rooney.
-
It's more Suarez than Rogers for sure. Signings like Allen and Boroni haven't put them on top. As George says Liverpool have pretty much the top half at home from now on, so I reckon they have a really strong shout. Citeh meanwhile have the top half away, and we've all seen their away form so far.

We're still winning games during a barren spell for Remy, which bodes well for the games ahead. -
Before my time, but that's the barge that ended up in the "Big Match" video compilation from the 1970s, isn't it? That whole video is hilarious.
-
Probably a Giggs but there's some very complimentary tactical analysis of the match on Zonal Marking. It should provide some relief for anyone wound up by the MOTD highlights.

With Carrick and Rooney out and RVP clearly unfit, I reckon you have to go Felliani battering ram at No. 10 with Hernandez off it. It's ugly, but it's simple for the players, is something Moyes knows, and can be pretty effective. If he won't play Felliani as a battering ram or as a DM, it was pointless buying him. It's the only two things he can do.

They hit the woodwork twice and had one roll between Rooney's legs when he was two yards out against Everton, but they created sweet FA today. We defended well, but that was really bad. They've got serious problems.
-
It looked like HBA was doing basketball defence on Moyes.

We've reached the yellow line! -
It's our best chance to get a good result here in a long time. I won't suggest any reasons why so as to not jinx it. Howay the lads!

I reckon that Joe Allen miss against Everton may be a turning point for them. With him and Boroni being Brenda's first big signings, there is something apt about it as well. Had the chance fallen to the bandy-legged Mackem, I think he would have scored.
