  1. For someone who played in France, Waddle doesn't have a good word for them.
  2. Jonas and Tiote off. Gouff and HBA on. Perch to full on shielding DM, Sissoko back onto Coutinho to stop distribution.
  3. Johnson should be off for the Tiote one. 10 vs. 11 and we might get away with 2-0!
  4. Aye, his luck might run out today. A three game ban would be massive like.
  5. I might go and watch that Big Match DVD with the Supermac debut and Jimmy Hill talking to Brian Moore while smoking a pipe. It's miles better than this.
  6. Completely shit header, but better lads! Come on! We may have bored them to sleep.
  7. This is worse than the first half of the 4-4. I think they had three by now in that one.
  8. Given Spurs performance, that's two points lost for Wigan. Spurs barely had a chance second half.
  9. Wigan keeper's been a spectator second half
  10. Sorry if its Giggs but weren't they in line for Europa League qualification through the Fair Play League?
  11. I just took it off this with Barton. I didn't realise it was discretionary. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19514515
  12. Whoever buys him is still going to have the ban, so that'll knock a bit off the price as well.
  13. Really wouldn't amaze me tbh. They've tried to get him before, and he's a cockney wideboy prick. They like those. 'Arry wouldn't come, man. We wouldn't give him the dough or control he'd want. Thank f***. I think he's more bothered about being close to his pad at Bournemouth or wherever it is. Didn't Golfmag say he signed a pre-contract (I've forgotten the legal term).

Souness was in charge of recruitment and brought the likes of Boumsong and Amdy Faye. He also froze out Bellamy and Robert. I dunno if the league is better or worse now ("poor league" is often stated with regard to ManU's big lead) but Pardew has us down in the same position with much better players. Even if you give him 10 points off for injuries, we're still way below where the squad should be. HBA, Cisse, Cabaye, Krul, Sissoko, .... that's some poisoned chalice for our next manager. They mightn't be queuing up, but plenty will be keen. If anything, its a no-lose situation because whoever comes in can just blame the running of the club and the expectations of the fans if things go wrong and the media will lap it up.

With the exception of QPR, who sacked Hughes, and Villa, still suffering after MON, we are the worst performing team vs. our position in the wages league. Surely Ashley can see he's not getting value for money. The league is full of managers doing better with poorer players. All of them will be working within financial restraints and will be told to keep off the subject, so the spin aspect of Pardew is hardly exceptional either. Pardew's spin has already worn extremely thin. As fans, we all know Pardew isn't making sense, but he's not making sense for the owners either. It's not as if better tactics would cost them any money.
  16. Had that handball been spotted at Wigan, we'd practically be safe now, but all the same, its pathetic that we're anywhere near the bottom three. What a disaster this season has been.

    Papiss Cissé

He hit the cross for our goal ffs. Isn't that a contribution?

That makes 16 out of 34 games where we've been outscored in the second half. We've only scored more than them eight times after HT. 40 of the 60 we've conceded have been in the second half. Only erstwhile capitulation specialists Villa have conceded more (41). Once the opposition changes anything, we go to pieces. The man is incapable of keeping us in the game.
  19. Two points thrown away against a team already on their holidays. The rocket they got off their manager at HT was enough to inspire the minimal effort needed to change the game. It went from nothing for Eliot to do to nothing for Foster to do. Pardew FFS. As for our players, did HBA even get a half decent pass after coming on?
  20. Has Eliot made a save? Pretty good half nearly undone by some ridiculous reffing. Unfortunately that's all it takes so long as its 1-0. Cisse man! Their pass was worse than Santon's against Benfica. Hope we stay positive and they don't make changes, because they've been hopeless so far.
