Premiership Worst Signings of the Season XI
Revolution Number 9 replied to Minhosa's topic in Football
Could you feasibly fill this team with nothing but Sunderland signings? -
You weren't joking. Curiosity got the better of me
-
I've liked Terim since Euro 2008. I'd like to see him come in. Bobby Robson recommended him for our job didn't he?
-
Was it Zico who out and out said he was interested in the job after Keegan's second resignation? I'm grasping at straws here, if you couldn't tell
-
With this in mind, it might be worth taking a punt on Clark?

I do post on there. If you ignore the loons, there's some decent contributors there, especially away from the 'pure football' threads. But it's like life in general, it's the vocal (often mad) minority who's voices are heard first and most regularly. Look at Steve Wraith as an example of this. It just seems like RTG has no mods or admins at all and if they do, they're all morons who've let the forum become an absolute shitshow. We have Dave if you'd like to transfer him over for a year, he'll cost about £4-5 million, not including wages I don't think he'd be willing to make the drop down to the championship, though. It's not like he's not getting first-team moderation in the premiership with us.

Aye, same bloke.
-
In a 4-0 home defeat. What a prick. Wow.
-
How can he possibly stay, we're getting beat by at least 3 goals every fucking game for fucks sake.
-
Ah, never mind. Thought it was tomorrow.
-
Literally the only thing that could have gone worse for them today was us winning our game from a rivalry standpoint. Still a little bit worried they're going to snatch some kind of miracle result from Spurs to keep us guessing, though.
-
Pisstake, surely.
-
Worst punishment I can think of is to make them play the useless fucker again.
-
Borini, Giaccherini, Johnson, Ki, Mannone Not that Pardew would know what to do with them, but they'd be depth improvements at worst. I wouldn't take any of them for our first team. And if we're going to be signing squad players there's bound to be better places to look than Sunderland.
-
Colback No thanks.

It's worse than 'for no money'. The out of contract players will get loyalty bonuses for seeing their contracts out, often estimated at around about a years wages. Even better! Again, how the hell did they allow things to get this bad? Even if they somehow stay up they're utterly and completely fucked unless Short opens his cheque book again.
-
Just had a proper look at what they're looking at in the summer - they have 6 first teamers/rotation options out of contract and 6 on loan. In theory, as of this moment that's 12 players gone at the end of the season for no money Holy fucking shit. Who allowed that to happen? And that's not even including the players who could jump ship if they were relegated. IMO - Johnson Mannone Giacherrini Fletcher Brown O'Shea Could all feasibly end up either at a premier league team or abroad if they go down. Considering how inept the current leadership has been with regards to ensuring they have enough players to actually compete in a match up to this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least 2-3 of these going. That's 14-15 players they could be losing in one summer. How on earth do you recover from that? The sheer amount of squad-building they need to do is ridiculous - Short has to fund yet another transfer spree or they're completely fucked. Also, just seen a quality quote from RTG - Snap him up, top division managers of the world, he's 34th for assists you know.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets beyond confused when that wierd little table gets brought up.

Sounds about right tbh, rebuilding their squad is such an enormous job it makes my mind boggle, all the overpaid shit, all the out of contract players, it's like our situation after the 09 season but multiplied by about 20 as they have literally none of the positives we did.
-
Genuinely curious to see what will happen to them in the summer in terms of transfers etc.

What could we put on our aeroplane banner for next week
