It absolutely was his choice but there were probably a few factors that led him to that decision. He didn't know Donnarumma would be going there at the time so may have been led to believe he'd be first choice and of course the higher wages which would both have been fair decisions for him choosing City at the time. As things have turned out he's been shit on with the Donnarumma signing

He is, without question. He's just blown hot and cold a lot this season which has born the frustration. Think we could see a lot from him at ST with Woltemade deeper for the rest of this season which isn't a bad thing

Not saying he will, but he has the technical ability to become a similar style player to Wirtz who cost more. Technical, advanced midfielders still cost a premium

Good performance overall, thought Woltemade looked good in that deeper role, which is a boost for the period while Bruno's out. Even though we won we should still be vocal about that officiating performance, which was a disgrace. The handball being given as a freekick is possibly the worst decision I've ever seen
