  1. Selling Krul would be an utterly brainless, stupid decision. I just can't see it happening, wouldn't even be worth it for 15m. The number of points he saves us relating to league position plus the fact you'd have to find a replacement. Plus his value will only go up over the next few years anyway. Begs the question too, why would he want to move to spurs right now anyway??
  2. Doesn't he have a pretty high bonus rate for games he plays (relating to the knee injury) above his basic salary which means recently he's been earning atleast 50k a week or more?
  3. It would be galling to lose him to Spurs ffs. I could stomach him going to Man U/Chelsea type level but Spurs no It all sounds very complicated with these agents, his knee and the clause which apparently "opens" today. Get the impression the agents will push things because there's a load of cash to be made but ultimately if Ba knows there's more money/longer contract he'll probably be off. It would make a mockery if he ends up at Spurs though given they can't offer champs league. No point getting wound up as there's nowt I can do about it. I just hope that if he does go we have someone lined up (as I'm sure we probably do).
  4. If RVP bins Arsenal off I could see them going for Ba.
  5. Don't know anything about him but smacks of someone Carr has had his eye on for ages. Is he an attacking midfielder?
  6. Good post ^^^^ A bit more pace, power and height at the back to go with a fit again Saylor would really solidify things. We've got the players to nick a goal away from home keeping things tight but too often have conceded goals due to lack of pace or being out muscled (look at Williamson being outjumped for pne of those Wigan goals)
  7. The return of Saylor plus another quality centre half and an improvement at fullback (Debuchy?) should allow us to keep things tighter at the back and keep the ball better when we're under the cosh as Skirge has said re the likes of Williamson at the back.
  8. I personally think True Faith are right on the money with most of their stuff. I don't see them as coming out with something like this unless something serious has happened (unfortunately).
  9. I like Vincent Company, top bloke/awesome player.
  10. I think a new LB/RB plus a centre half (Douglas?) will be definites. And probably a young striker from the continent given that the ACN is happening again. With Marveaux back I can't see that many changes to the midfield but I guess if Guthrie goes they'll bring someone in (Sigurdsson maybe). I can still see one high profile player going this summer but I'm confident they'll plan for that and cover it should it happen.
  11. Great with the ball, quick and very direct. Like him a lot
  12. It was always going to be a game where the first goal and a bit of quality kind of decided it and on another day that Ben Arfa goal goes in. What a strike that was with his wrong foot. City really are a ridiculous side but what thats to be expected when someone has thrown with the thick end of half a billion at it, Yaya Toure and Kompany are true warriors but the money thing is the thing which sours it a little for me. Finances on a ludicrous level really that take the piss. Don't think this team is that far away from becoming a powerhouse themselves. They'll learn a lot from today even in defeat.
  13. Starting to look class now. A full pre-season and an understanding of what the league is about will really see him come on. I guess they may be looking to move him to the right if they bring in a starting left back?

    Papiss Cissé

Will draw so much attention from the City defence today I can actually see Ba or Ben Arfa scoring
  15. Downing and Henderson are atrocious, christ. That come back and credit where credit is due it was a good one was however the sign of a cup side. They simple don't have enough quality to maintain any serious consistency (good) in the league with those players.

Doesn't the home strip change every 2 yrs? Thought this current strip was only in its first year.

Those mugs in the ground, total gutted astonishment hahahah f*** off
  18. A complete tanned idiot, Chelsea wanker he is but it was still interesting to hear what he said about us last night.
  19. Having watched us last night said he thought that if we kept that squad together and added in key areas he thought we'd become a "real force" next season to challenge. Was pretty blown away by the midfield power, Colo at the back and the attacking threat on the break. Said it was the first time in a while he'd seen Chelsea completely and utterly out muscled in midfield. He said he thought City will be facing a far greater challenge on sunday than the one they faced on monday just gone - title far from over. Question is how far can this lot go? (dreaded transfer window pending)

He's a deadly poacher and capable of outrageous goals like last night. What are the odds on a super bid coming in this summer?
  21. I'd love to be proved wrong but I can only see a standard defeat here. 2-0 or 3-1
  22. When the whole team is playing well the weak links aren't exposed. When things aren't going our way and we're under the cosh however good professionals they are Simpson and Williamson aren't good enough individually. A solid right back and Saylor/new centre half and I'd say the likelyhood of these capitulations will ease. Most of the team were at fault yesterday but the weak links are fairly obvious.
  23. I think to qualify we needed to win that one really especially given Arsenal drew. It'll take some massive games going our way and some absolutely unbelievable performances in the next 3 games and especially the next two. Great season, Europa league next season and I'll take that at this point
