Aren't they direct competition for banks? A banks way of a short term loan is a credit card, you don't get a Wonga loan if a bank is willing to give you a credit card. Banks generally only do long term and higher value loans and mortgages. So why would the bank's support them?

I'm more concerned about the amounts being talked about in the papers than the actual sponsors (Shitty as they are).

We probably can't and that's why we're being talked about as getting into a partnership with about as bad a company as you can find. It's what Ashley has been extremely poor at since he came, for a business man he has been very poor at securing commercial revenue outside of the fan base.

A payday loan company that charges interest rates of about 3333% (not s*** either, it actually does). There has been calls from politicians, members of the public, and even journalists that companies like them should be banned. If their interest rates weren't bad enough they clearly target those who can't get credit and to make matters worse even if a customers payed back their loan on time and didn't default on payments then it does not positively effect their credit score. How is that legal? Thats the big question, it f***ing shouldn't be. To be fair it's not as if it isn't declared. Only because it has to be, they go as far as the possibly can to disguise the fact. How can that level of interest ever be fair? Also how can these loans which are offered to people who obviously can't be given credit via other means be handed to them without the possibility of building their credit rating to escape companies like them? (gaining a loan from Wonga can actually worsen your credit rating even if you do pay it off without defaults as other companies will look at who you are dealing with, coming to the conclusion that you are obviously desperate for finance and opting not to take the chance on you because you quite liekly won't have the funds to pay them back if your that desperate for money). Sorry but I have no sympathy, as said they have to state the terms and if people can't get credit apart from going to companies like this they have gotten themselves into that position. They are extortionate fuckers but they don't force loans onto people. Don't know how borrowing from Wonga can worsen your credit rating either, when I worked for a mortgage lender the score was generated by Experian based on your history of payments etc. Unless it's pre-programmed to downgrade it based on where you borrow from but that seems unlikely. Could have completely changed though haven't worked for a bank in years.

    Fucking hell, awful.
  20. BBC on fire as always. GOAL- West Ham 0-1 Arsenal - Mohamed Diame Now that is a finish. Arsenal have had the better of the first 20 minutes, but it is West Ham who claim the opening goal. And what an opening goal. Mohamed Diame, who joined the Hammers in the summer, cuts in from the left, beating a Gunners man in the process, before lashing a shot into the far corner of the goal from 12 yards. Upton Park erupts.

  22. Having a good day today had a couple of horses and Man City result which turned a fiver into 14 quid, then put that on Chelsea to score next which took it up to 23 quid. Have but 11 quid on both Carroll and Podolski to score anytime.
