Aye, like I say, probably unrealistic expectations from myself, however, still a tad disappointing, whichever way you dress it up ultimately.

Me too! I genuinely thought we'd hit the 1st January with maybe 4 or 5 transfers 80-90% of the way done. Not saying the club hasn't tried or isn't trying but can't help but feel a tad disappointed it's now the 18th January and we only have Trippier and a very expensive Chris Wood, in the door. Mind you, I am probably not being realistic, we are 19th in the league, with 1 win to our name all season, I'm sure people aren't breaking their necks in the rush to sign for us unfortuantely.

Not sure how much more of this transfer talk my emotions can take.

I've got 2 football pet hates, not sure which one annoys me the most, probably the goalkeeper one. 1 - When a goalie pulls off a decent save, but then has the urge to run 20 yards to the edge of their box screaming their head off and gesticulating with their hands, despite it not really actually being anyone's fault that the attacker got his shot in. 2 - When an attacker is in a CLEAR goal scoring position and decides to take a shot at goal, and invariably it doesn't find the net, the other 2, 3, 4 of his team-mates in the box all start throwing their hands up in the air as if to say "why didn't you pass it to me to score", even though there were defenders in the way, or they were stood in an offside position.

I'm completely torn to be fair. I think it is far too soon to remove Howe, but on one hand, we are heading in a VERY bad direction, at a fast pace, and results since he came in, have been awful. Rafa just got the club, he just got it, even when he had to work under Mike Ashley. Yesterday, when I said to myself, if we get rid of Howe, I struggled to see who we could possibly get to come in even if Howe were to leave. Well, given what has happened with Rafa and Everton today, this changes. There aren't many opportunities when class acts like Rafa become available.

He has been woeful for a long time in my opinion, just looks like an absolute plodder at the back, chuff knows how he is our captain.

When are the new 8 or 9 players arriving that we need before our next game?

I just can't see who we pick points off against, especially when we can't beat the likes of Norwich and Watford.

Aye, we somehow rode our luck when Bruce was in-charge, and when you look at the games we have played as @Fantail Breeze points out, it looks horrific!

Being completely honest, he was never the right man for the job, a lot of people knew that. Steve Bruce was one of the worst managers for us in my opinion, and I may be putting my neck on the chopping block here, but would results under Bruce have been any worse than what we have achieved with Howe? Given where we are in the table, results are what count, appreciate our performances have possibly improved a tad since Howe's arrival, but it's obvious he isn't the man to get us out of the crap predicament we find ourselves in.

I've not seen the match today, but the comments about him haven't exactly surprised me. It just seems the club pressed the panic button with Wilson being out for a sustained period. I don't blame them for doing it, but we all knew that Chris Wood wasn't going to the answer to our problem, and at 30 and costing £25m quid, whilst we triggered the release clause, we have had our pants pulled down on this one.
