Tbf I don't really think he is so much a one of them as you guys make him out to be, mainly because of what he says and what Ashley does at the club. If they where at close mates I bet pardew would be more of trying to ease whatever Ashleys intentions were to the fans instead of saying somehting and beeing contradicted by action all the time.

I for one didn't have the opportunity to watch the match. But would very much like to know what kind of formation was we playing? As that has been one of the bigger questions during the transfer window.

Kazenga seems like a promising winger to me. A player with abit of trickery, acceleration and speed. Looked abit afraid to take players on last game I saw him in the prem. But with abit of confidence I bet he would be as good as any winger in the league.

What Johnon293 said. And as everybody agrees around here Tiote is as important to our midfield as Coloccini is to our defence as Ben Arfa is to our attack. Wouldn't it be fair to pay them the same kind of wages if someone in the same bracket came in on a higher wage?

As much as I would like sturridge here thats for sure a no go. What would the rest of the clubs stars say if we signed a player with 60-70k per week? Just when we've started with the wage cap for stars to be approx around 50k a week.

Must remember we also signed Ben Arfa wich are on a wage aswell. Rumours are Simpson is signing a new one aswell so might have to spend a little extra there too. Some money are booked incase Enrique signs the new supposedly much improved contract too. There are money going here and there for the new players, bet their agents want money for negotiating new contracts too. The club operates with a yearly budget and have to keep to that. Ashley might even want us to start paying some of the loan back aswell? And remember Ashley himself has pumped money into the clubs coffers since he bought it, and more likely more then he ever expected to do. And now as the club itself got the money he might even this season decide not to chunk anything.

I think its quite obvious that Carr has been outside the country looking for targets. And I for one think we can't blame the crew at Newcastle for not bringing in a striker, yet. The ones they had in mind just didn't want to come here, that goes for Gervinho, Gameiro and Erdinc. Atleast we can see what kind of striker we want and we obviously want someone who can work those balls comming in behind/between fullback/centreback type. Lets hope they get it right and we get someone decent in. With the creativity we got now he just need smartness and beeing composed infront of goal to score.

I for one are hoping we are strengthened during this window. Mostly because we got players we can trust doing a job out there instead of the kuqis and campbells. Hopefully the young uns will have a breaktrough aswell. Like ferguson, tavernier and kaz. Kadar might play a role aswell as vuckic. Right there we got a few backups with potential. And Gosling, Ben arfa like new signings we'll add Demba Ba, marveux and cabaye it all looks quite bright to me. Definitly better then we started off last season. Hopefully N'zog will come in closer to deadline day. But what I really want is the club to make its own money and beeing selfsufficient. We are allready having far to many expenssive players not playing their part in the squad. When we do get rid we will be in a far better position in the marked.

TBF, it does seem like we are bidding for top notch strikers. But they turn us down.

I'll hand out knives outside of St.James for everyone who wants to cut their wrists tomorrow. Seriously, there is two months left of the transferwindow, and people are making doom of things allready? Could I ask why?

To have a lump as Campbell in the back I rather take my chanes with Tavernier or Kadar. Still lack a left back, other then that I'm quite happy about the defence, good 1st options not so good 2nd ones, but what could you expect? Midfield has gotten improved, especially with the "new signings" making room for them selling Nolan was the best bet. We got goals, allthough I would like one more goalscorer.

What I feel we have done in the window so far is getting more players that will actually contribute to our season. Giving us more options as Guthrie, Smith, Perch for instance, they gave none at all. We had one impact sub, and it was ranger. Now we got some more ways to play and it's satisfying. I hope we bring in some more offcourse. But allready it's pleasing to see whats done.

Oh well, if I had to live in sun'lun I would demand some compensation too.

I really don't think so, we've allready strengthened the attack. Right back is okay for were we are going to be next season. Improving the capacity of our midfield with another one who can run their socks off is good, especially if they got ability aswell.

How many of you want a leader of the players in the club beeing barton? He's an absolute tool, just look how he goes around in media telling everyone how things will collapse after the sale of Nolan.

If we are going to play 3 in midfield I would take a punt on him. He would probably be a good asset.

Letting players on that barely has played this season doesn't bother me, that includes campbell, smith, guthrie, routledge, perch. Probably forgot someone. But the fact that we got players comming back from injuries, and probably going to get a few more players wich actually will contribute as pardew will rate whomever he brings in will make our squad bigger.
