  1. Where's this coming from? He's a wonderkid on LB, and is a naturalborn central defender, played the position through his career. It was first in Ajax he started playing the left back for real. Captain i Brondby IF and Denmarks U-16, U-17 until he jumped to U-19 and then later at young age to the national team. Very skilled on the ball, has great skills going forward and is very attacking, but has the defensive side of his game as well since he's a natural central defender. Would be absolutely delighted if we signed this lad!
  2. Going to my first match at St. James Park so I'm really hoping for a win and a sold out stadium! 2-0. Best and Ba! Where to go for pre match? A Dane looking forward to visiting!

    Danny Guthrie

We don't need some new backup for Tiote when we have a player who can step in this well. Very good game tonight. Really impressed.
  4. I don't know if he's realistic in terms of his ambitions. But a left back as Danish Nicolai Boilesen from Ajax Amsterdam is definately one for the future. Not yet fully established in the Ajax starting eleven, but is by far the best left back option we have in Denmark. His skills going forward is really impressive and as a former centerback he knows his defensive responsibilities. Of course, at the age of 19 he still has tons to learn, and it might be a big step coming to Newcastle and Premier League right now. But I think his potential is playing for some of the really big clubs and in the Champions League and it might be a nice step coming to Newcastle first. He would also fit well into the buy cheap - sell big-theme we seem to be doing, with all these youngsters.
  5. Big big moment for my hometown-club :-D Eric Djemba-Djemba MoM. F*** me sideways he was good today! Reckon you can hold out in the 2nd leg? Villareal are still big favorites, but surely raising some eyebrows in Spain. They are very strong at home so it's going to be difficult, but we've done it before :-D Beat Real Madrid at Bernabeu in the Uefa cup in 94/95. 2-3 at home and then won 2-0 in Madrid. The only defeat they had at home that entire season if I recall :-D

    Shola Ameobi

5 years. Ashley has his mind set up on Shola as Pardews successor in an attempt to please the crowd. Looking forward to the retirement of #23 and the Shola-reign putting Newcastle back were we belong. Howay
  8. This. Haven't seen Gameiro play, and the fact that he prefers Spain makes me wanna sing Gervinho Gervinho! But I don't understand why we can't go for both...

    Leon Best

Liking the idea of asking him - but not that question :-) Had a friend back in prep-school who was lefthanded but right footed. Isn't it the same with Harper. Throws with his left end kicks with his right?

    Leon Best

Wrong. He is a natural lefty, but is capable of hitting it well with right as well. A natural right footed player wouldn't make the 3 against West Ham the way he did with his left if he was a righty. Specially the last one... He's really growing on me as a player. And all the knocks he keeps getting is pure overload of his body after all those injuries. It will get better, so will his finishing as he keeps getting reps in the starting lineup. Maybe he can fullfill his raw talent from the Southampton/Notts County days in Newcastle. Sure hope so.. A player like Christian Eriksen is a natural righty but is able to hit it almost as well with his left. Same goes for Best - just the other way around.

He's a lefty for sure. 110% sure. Remember his run late vs. Wigan only dribling with his left foot.
  12. How reliable is this source? Don't know it since I'm from another country...is it jibberish? Sounds a bit weird that they're talking...illegal if no agreement has been reached between the two clubs. http://www.people.co.uk/sport/2011/02/27/ac-milan-to-sign-newcastle-left-back-enrique-102039-22952469/
  13. Don't know if he has PL-class, but he's been a cut above the rest of the danish league in terms of left backs trough the last 2 seasons. He's an very attacking fullback-type who has a s***load of assists for a LB, and he's for free in the summer. Don't know if he would be interested in signing if José is still here, even though he would be a very nice backup.
  14. Hopefully not true. Would rather have Manute Bol playing up front than Crouch. He's pure s***!

    England Vs Denmark

Maybe they would. Don't really care if they would. It's about the type of player he is. Very small in stature, not a physical presence at all, and would be roughed around a lot. I've seen this kid since he was 13, and everyone could see that he was going to be something special. He's saying today that he would prefer so stay with Ajax for the contract running out and not to go to Liverpool, Chelsea, Barca, Milan right now as he has tons to learn yet. And I'm pretty sure that the next step in his career isn't in the direction of England. And yes...he played in the local Middelfart as a youngster and then moved on to one of the bigger clubs in Denmark, Odense BK. One of the last games he played at youthlevel the team won 7-1. He scored 5 and assisted the last 2 - in a league with player 2 years older than himself. He's going to be a very big star for the future and opposite Bendtner keeps both feet on the ground.

    England Vs Denmark

Eriksen has been highly touted since he was 12 years old. Trials at Barcelona, Milan, Chelsea at the age of 14-15 tells you that. Wisely he and the club OB choose Ajax as the best platform to build on his extraordinary talent. He's said to be the best propects since Michael Laudrup and noone disagrees. He has the kicking of Sneijder with both legs although he is naturally rigthfooted. He's quiet small in stature and I don't think he's strong enough to the english game. He's bound to go to Spain at some time. Barca-type of player...

    U23s & Academy

Let's not get carried away with this young bloke. Many things can happen over the next years - but surely he looks promising. The worst thing we could do though - is to hype the fella...
  18. F*** Carroll. I hope his whip gets cut off and he looses all of his powers. In my latest nap I dreamt that Carroll broke Gerrards jaw in a trainingground bust-up, then got beat up by Carragher ending up with a seasonending injury. And.. ...in 3 years we sell Ranger for 40m. Newcastle richer and about 500 tattoos poorer.
  19. Current team????? Maybe I'm not expressing myself very clear. Not my homelanguage :-) Sorry. Bent was a miss. Got blinded by this other article I read. Keane from Leeds for about 12m, sold to Liverpool 19-20m, bought back 15-16m. And both him, Bentley and Gio is still only out on loan. And won't get anything near what they paid in the first place... Check it yourself if you wanna. I've looked up every player in there current squad, and even though their price often is mediaspeculation - on the lowside it still ends up being £200m in transfer.
  20. Heck, Yes they would. See Spurs/Berbatov! Harry/Spurs are the ultimate wheeler/dealer buy low/sell high club that turn their assets over to the betterment of the club. Disagree. Spurs current team is worth around £200m in transfermoney spend alone. Not much wheeler-dealer in that... Bentley around £17m Bent 16,5m Keane 16m Defoe 15m Pavlyuchenko 14m Palacios 12m Hutton 9m Gio 8,6m Just to name a few of from the current team.. They are spending like crazy. Don't know where the f*** they get all that money.
  21. Let's go get Wickham and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - and hope that we will survive this season and then build for the future! We still have Ranger...

    Fraser Forster

Forster still keeping his clean sheets above 50% in total of his career. Now that's impressive. Very exciting prospect with absurd height even for a keeper. Hope for the same as you guys, that next season will see Krul out on loan, or maybe even Harper gone(agething, looking to rebuild around young prospects). I think this guy's the future.
  23. Recently came back from injury? Or maybe he's not so interesting for other clubs i terms of loan if he gets cuptied?
  24. Guthrie would be equally as bad as Smith in all honesty. I agree that they're both s***, but I think Guthrie has more to offer on the attacking part of our game. More quality in the passing game, where Smith is simply an overaggressive defensive midfielder. Would rather be without both of them in the starting 11, but don't think that Routledge has what it takes to help control Bale. That being said I think Pardew will stay with Routledge, and then I hope for Ranger upfront.
