  1. Fancy this score line as well. Think it will be a more entertaining game than last Saturday, more open with both teams creating good chances.

You make that sound like it's not acceptable.

Cabaye chipped a corner to him on the edge of the box, so he must be practicing some degree of shooting if he's the end product of a set play. Was a nice idea we've just got the wrong person doing the volleying Massive pet hate at matches fans screaming for him to shoot when in space from 25/30 yards out. All on the back of one fucking goal

He's a different person in the film thread, genuinely nice guy. Like Jekyll and Hyde when he switches between football and chat Could say the same for 90% of the forum. True

We are indeed lucky to have such a hard working and honest bunch of players. Does that count as being lucky ? Not really sure what is being asked here, i haven't mentioned luck. Wouldn't say we are lucky to have a hard working group. Pardew has obviously got them playing as a team more this season and upped our work rate in games. Players then deserve credit for going out there and executing that.

I already have, mate. Where's this? Must have missed you given out the praise to AP after Norwich game.

Get a grip man you saccharin tit. Well show some positivity ffs. You’re probably still on a solid 8 on the relegationometer. Brett man. You clearly do it to add credibility to some of the nonsense that you come out with, but you should probably just stick with the things that we're talking about, or the things that people have actually said instead of taking one thing to assume another that's based in fiction. The problem is that there IS positivity and it's not being utilised enough. I was very happy with that first half, the second half was s***, yet again. It was totally unnecessary and incredibly risky. I said pretty much about the differences in halves. I just don't go overboard like you and claim we were lucky to take 3 points. It's a worrying factor we are only playing well for one half out of the two. That doesn't mean to say we aren't in good form though as we are and it's exciting to see us doing so well once again.

We are 8th in the table, 2 points off a champions league spot, i would say majority of fans are now feeling happy about the season, considering how negative a lot were in the summer. You however just refuse to give the team the credit they deserve for the efforts they are putting in of late. They are working their socks off for each other and it's good to see. Claiming them to be lucky after matches is a real shame for them and undeserved.

On saturday if we were lucky to take 3 points, surely that means Norwich were unlucky to have 0 points, right?

    Papiss Cissé

Was he? Haven't actually seen the game back yet. Just assumed with it being Cisse, the linesman was obviously right

Would you rather we stopped debating it? When you're saying we were lucky to win on Saturday because Norwich were s***, then yes. Would like to have seen you reactions throughout the game on Saturday to see how nervous/tense/worried you actually were of Norwich taking a point or winning that game. I thought the general feeling was it was a comfortable enough win but made tougher than it should have been after half time. Sorry, are you telling me what I should and shouldn't talk about on here? Just need to clarify that. We were lucky on Saturday because we allowed them to have a chance at getting a draw and relied upon them being s***. If you'd seen me on Saturday you'd have seen someone that was very happy with the first half and then utterly confused as to why we, yet again, sat back and defended our lead for 45 minutes when it's clearly a risk that has stung us in the past and will certainly sting us again under Pardew. You can talk about what you, like. Claiming our opposition unlucky after each game is getting a bit tiresome imo however. Feel you aren't giving our team nearly enough praise for their efforts they are putting in and they are being hard done by.

What was actually happening on Saturday? Didn't even think the ground felt that particularly tense compared to what it is normally. Norwich weren't creating anything really to make us worried. We were looking dangerous on the break. Can only really remember one close call but might have just been my angle because Krul seemed very assured as soon as the cross came in and let it go for a goal kick.

So now we were lucky against Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Norwich. Sure everytime we get a good result we are just ruled as lucky. We must be second in the form table on sheer luck. In the last of those 3 we were. I wouldn't include Liverpool. Each to their own. I was never worried on Saturday, thought we were looking more likely to score a 3rd on the break than Norwich scoring again.

We certainly weren't lucky on Saturday, Norwich were shit, and second half was like a training session. Surprised they even scored tbh but even when they did you couldn't see them doing it again. Thought Pardew had his team selection and tactics spot on for 45 minutes, but then his decisions in the second half with subs and tactics was poor. Was still all a bit of a stroll though simply for how bad Norwich were.
  19. But neither are Chelsea or Spurs. It's a couple of tough fixtures but no reason why we shouldn't fancy our chances. 4 points would be a good return, we shouldn't start getting carried away with our current form and start saying 6 points is a must or should happen but certainly not lowering our expectations to only get a point or two. Got to fancy us to beat one of them at least.
  20. We should get: 6 points. We will get: 1-2 points. Confidence is meant to rise when you start to go on a good run of form, not predicting a downfall at nearest opportunity
  21. Can hardly remember Krul making a save!! 5 mins went up and I was cheering my 3-1 bet, remy fg, they hardly looked liked scoring, was more us on counter!
  22. Shola showed why he deserved to start today and why Pardew was right. I wanted him dropped for hba today but credit to Shola, thought he was excellent! 4-4-2 is really suiting us and shola is playing his part. I'm happy for shola to start now next week, he has proven himself after today that he is effective in our side atm!
