  1. You seem to keep forgetting about the Hull game Ian. That was a home defeat against a s*** promoted club. For me that was a lot more worrying. To let 3 goals in at home against s*** opposition is diabolical. Everton was just a follow on from that. Aye, it was fairly poor but we started very well and declined rapidly after giving away soft goals. Also beaten by a sweet strike. The result was arguably worse than Everton but the manner of the defeat wasn't as bad IMO. Anyway, not saying we're going to run out and hammer Cardiff but I just don't feel like we're guaranteed to lose every game either. You've forgotten the hull game. He hasn't

Pardew protected him from another 45 minute Lakaku mauling, this make him intelligent?

My fear with it is, if he takes us towards relegation would Ashley fire again in the season or take the drop if it came to rebuild again with Kinnear to gain stability with his new manager.
  4. Kept us in the game against Morecambe with decent goal line clearences.

Say we did lose tomorrow, Pardew got sacked, Kinnear/Kinnear's mate took over, what would be the general reaction on here? Positive now Pardew has eventually gone and things may now lookup, even more negative as it's Kinnear in charge or just the same shit feelings as it is now?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I do but i think he knows the team rely heavily on him creating stuff and producing a magic moment, but i think he copes with the pressure fairly well. He wants the team to win and he'll do everything he can to achieve that regardless if that means it's him scoring the goals or someone else.

Wasn't it Talksport that ran with the story first that they had been informed he had resigned?
  8. They'll be tired at the weekend though. You just watch. It is a tired line of talk. We won our group in this thing last season, quite easily in fact. Move back the Wayne Routledge revisionist history talk. They are also winning/getting points in the league games after. Without making a ton of changes. Got the advantage of seeing where Pardew went wrong and making the adjustments

Haven't seen him play LW but i'll take your word that he would be good at it... I'm not saying he'll be good at it, i just know Pardew isn't bothered for playing people out of position so wouldn't surprise me if Sissoko was put left/right in a 4-4-2.

Naaaaaa Sissoko can play wing according to Pards.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

So you think a Di Maria/Sanchez wouldn't have those sort of games regularly too if they played in our side? I can't help but think we do hold Ben Arfa back, in a better side he would get far more space to exploit than he does with us, everything is compact and has 2/3 men around him, he would rarely have this sort of problem in a better side where teams would have more than just him to think about.

What would the 4-4-2 look like without Jonas? Cisse Remy Gouff Anita Cab HBA Santon Colo Mym Deb Attack Attack Attack From Pards point of 4-4-2 though.... Gouff Remy Sissoko Tiote Cabaye HBA Santon Colo Willo Debuchy

I'd personally stick with mym but i wouldn't argue with Willo coming back in as he did the job against Everton and has actually looked solid enough when called upon since he was thrown out of regular first team action. Only thing he can do wrong with this side imo is if he drops Ben Arfa or even brings back in Jonas. I’d like to stick with 4-3-3 but wouldn’t complain about 4-4-2 again.

To be fair he had been banging on for a dominant centre back that would be a threat aerially and might actually bag some goals to go with it, Mapou couldn't be further away from what he asked for. I see Mapou more a replacement for Colo than a partner for Colo.

Ashley is businessman, if he thinks Pardew is going to fail again this season and cost him money and from the start we've made it's actually looking like a possibility, he will sack him. However he's not going to make a knee jerk reaction so early in the season when he's been our manager for 3 years and you have the feeling he likes to have the stability at the club and doesn't really want to be chopping and changing managers when things get tough. He's given Pardew another chance after last season's disaster but make no mistake about it, if he fails again, he will be gone. Why did you say 'fail again'? When did he fail the first time? We stayed up didn't we? He still failed his targets though, unless you’re of the opinion Ashley would take 17th every single year if offered and be happy with that.

    Alan Pardew

If we win with his changes, people won't be forgetting for a couple of weeks. I think the only way people will get off his back over the international break is if we stick with the 4-3-3 and play pretty much the villa side, i'm not sure he will do this however.

  18. We are apparently planning on dropping Ben Arfa for his inability to defend or track back so we'll bring in Zaha, sounds legit

Hard times, patience tested to the hilt, half time on Monday I was drinking into a pint of carling saying sack the cunt in the pub, full time arrived and I'm saying give him 10 games. My biggest worry is still the fear of Kinnear taking over were he to go.

Amount of times someone has fired that question at me I really can't be bothered to answer it again tbh, it's long and been over it god knows how many times, if Ian's bored he might answer it for you

You're like a turkey voting for Christmas, absolutely nuts. He'll turn it around, more because of the players at his disposal than the fact he's any good. Although I think it's time to do a Neesy and say Saturday 'we need a result' because we lose that then things will only spiral further out of control with our up coming fixtures.
