  1. With Ben Arfa in your side you've always got a chance of sneaking a result.
  2. Is there honestly people out there who don't support Liverpool that believe the Suarez/Sturridge pairing are better than RVP/Rooney.
  3. Brett...? Is that you? When i'm quiet, you know i don't fancy us. However actually feel like i did the Villa game where i think it will be a good game and account ourselves well but could concede a late goal and get beat 3-2 or summit. That was my prediction for Villa and we won, so here's hoping the we get the same result.
  4. A yellow card for slamming the ball down is pathetic, understand kicking it away in frustration but not just for a slam down. Even if a player beats his hands on the ground, nothing wrong with showing frustration at a decision you may feel is incorrect.
  5. He had two perfect home games against West Ham/Fulham to show his worth and he blew them imo. I really do like Marv and when he started i was excited for him but he was a let down, stats might say he created chances in the games but his overall performance in both was poor, average at best and he left the burden to Ben Arfa to do something as he never looked likely himself to. Wouldn't be thinking about shifting him on however as he's still a good replacement if injuries kick in but he hasn't justified himself at all for a starting birth in this side as of yet.

I've thought Taylor/Jonas won't get a look in with this side but Tiote is still a close call for Anita and it could sway back and forth all season depending on who we are playing. I'd personally keep Anita in and bring Tiote on if needed.

Aye wasn't happy at his transfer budget and basically gave them an ultimatum for more money, they obviously gave in to his demands, would Ashley have done the same?

Not for me like. And nowhere to be seen? You do realise he's been injured, right?

    Sammy Ameobi

Fair enough. So I presume you were on about current ability, not potential. I still think you're wrong; he'd be an asset for many a Championship side already, and I think he's proven in his last two outings (albeit against lower league opposition) he is an asset in our squad too. Out of interest, do you think he's got what it takes to be a useful Premiership player for us, because that's not the vibe I'm getting from you? I'm going to go out on a limb, put myself forward for future humiliation and say that in a couple of years, when he's got some power to him, he'll be a good addtion to a Prem squad. As Ron said, for a 21 yr old, he is lagging a bit but i think that's because he's so tall and extremely thin. Fill out a bit, work on his power and stamina. While i'm making wild predictions i also reckon Haidara will end up better than Dummett. Yep Yep. He's better than Dummett now

I think what we have with Sammy is probably all we'll ever have, it's just how you decide to utilise him, if he was playing regular football i think he would be soon found out but as an impact sub i think he can be useful because he is a different type of player and a bit unpredictable. He’s stood out on each of appearances so far this season even his cameo against West Ham he changed the dynamic of the game.
  11. I've predicted a loss, fancy it to be a decent game though. I find it hard to be fearful of a left back like even with Ben Arfa/Debuchy doing the defending. Think Mirralas is the one who could cause us most problems. Hope Lakaku doesn't start either.

    Alan Pardew

We lost our next game, it did get worse though because I think we were drawing a few games early on. The Norwich home game in September wasn't very good for a win and the next game was Reading and we drew with them and looked poor. I'm sure Pardew tipped them to stay up after that game and he said they were a good team. They weren't a good team, it was us that made them look less than s****. Our really bad form probably started in early November when we lost to West Ham at home. Aye sounds about right, I wasn't talking about performances like, meant points on the board, we started well on that account but then think it was after that awful Norwich game in which we won, things were bleak after that.

    Alan Pardew

Fairly sure we got a little bit further than that. Could be wrong like.
  14. When we give him that role away to Blackburn I think it was, he actually utilised his pace well like he did last night and finished it off. Last night he did extremely well in reminding people just how shit he actually he is though.

I still can't get that 6 yard pass back to Anita from last Saturday which went over Anita and out for a throw! Such basics and he's a mess at it! Agree with above though.

    Alan Pardew

We started well enough last year I thought, it just gradually got worse and worse!
  17. Well apparently every cup is a priority according to some! Win everything!
  18. Ok so I exaggerated my call. Try and back it up then that the team fielded is one of a manger who believes this cup is serious. It's an awful side considering it's away to a PL team. If Pardew fielded a similar side away to this calibre of opponent he would be slaughtered. Personally I like the way Wenger has progressed with as few first teamers as possible. Pardew has shone himself in similar light. Good performance all around.
  19. Can't believe I've come on here and we are slagging off his quotes already! We won, tough tie we have ahead to progress, we'll give it our best shot, now for Everton on Monday!
  20. If this is such a serious cup, why did one of the best managers I've ever seen field a team of players I had hardly seen (bar football manager), scraped through on pens and once again a top team bumbles their way through.
  21. Watched the above video then started reading your post and started thinking, 'but it's only on a game, not like he would play for Spain in real life' then i clicked on it when you mentioned FIFA you actaully meant the governing body and not the makers of FIFA itself, doh
  22. Risky like, sure Wigan will find out if it's a good move or not. See how long before they are back. Still think people underestimate how lucky in a sense we were to bounce straight back up, not many teams do that, especially in the manner in which we did it. Can easily get stuck in a rut once relegated. The FA cup would be exceptional on the other hand, dreamy!
  23. Yeah, that's what made me think of it, got a call after that game (Blackburn away went out in e.t) from my mate saying he's never felt such excitement with Newcastle in a long time after listening to the game on the radio for the first time in years
  24. Torn between watching it and not watching it at all. I obviously will. Get the radio out, i bet it sounds far more exciting on the radio, they always do a good job of dramatizing things.
