Main thing that makes me not want to get to the ground early or buy drinks / food is that it’s rammed and the queues are long. Would far prefer to just relax somewhere quiet out of the ground and have a nice meal. Would definitely eat street food in the ground if it was quality and there weren’t big queues though

Anyone making the claim that Dummett is a poor defensive option is off the mark. He’s made of glass and he has little to zero footballing ability on the ball but he’s an excellent defender. Wouldn’t exactly be delighted to see him turn out but it wouldn’t be because of his defending

Received the email, will reply later on. I’ll be advocating for staying at St. James’ personally. The food and drink stuff doesn’t really affect me, as I hate queueing and hate missing a second of the match

Can’t see us signing a GK in January. However, I think the summer will be looked at as a time to see if the right player comes available. I’m very happy with Pope but is this his third bad injury to that shoulder? Does anyone have an idea of similar goalkeeping injuries and whether it could actually limit his game in the future or make him more injury prone? If so, I can’t imagine we’ll be sitting on our arses

Games like this rarely go as you expect them to. You’ll be fired up, I imagine we will too but it’s not easy to predict. If we played ten times you’d get rinsed over half by multiple goals but a one-off game and you could make things difficult if your players are out to break bones

Understated unless they absolutely go for him in the home end. If they’re him dog’s abuse then he’ll be knee sliding if he gets on the scoresheet

Should stick to what he knows best, taking bungs and being a washed up PFM. Felt sorry for him that he was a state when he returned to management but he can just fuck right off

Young was still performing well last season but he’s probably past it now, especially against pace. Red card incoming

Fair enough, it’s hard to understand exactly who someone is but I find it hard to believe that all the work he did related to school meals was to cultivate a persona. He’s already rich, the amount of effort and conflict associated with coming up against politicians and trying to effect change just wouldn’t be worth it unless you actually cared. I have no idea what that sort of money would do for motivation but there are a lot of people on big contracts who are motivated and give their all still. I think the fact that club is rotten to its core is clearly a factor and the fact that no one plays for each other and only themselves
