Hard to feel sorry for him when he’s such a negative character on the pitch. I know you love the lad and with good reason in terms of his footballing ability but he just whinges on nonstop, people like that don’t contribute to a positive mindset. You can act in a way where you galvanise a team when you have issues with the officials but when you throw your hands up at any decision and cry about it, it’ll just make your whole team feel like victims rather than just getting on with it

In terms of CM he’s ahead of Willock and Anderson already. Willock is a very different player and Anderson too really. Anderson is best suited to a wing or more advanced position. Willock’s played his best stuff for us on the left and when running at stretched defences. Miley is already better at receiving the ball and finding space and a creative pass than Longstaff I’d say. Longstaff has fantastic positional awareness and he’s a brilliant defensive asset. Hard to really compare but I’d say Miley is a more complete player than all of them even now. Not saying he’s better but his game clearly has more to it

He should definitely have a pop. There was one where he cut across the penalty area and I was sure he was going to take a shot but he then let it run a little too far. I agree with AngusHyd that he could actually play more advanced and be a Gareth Bale. He doesn’t need to play as a LW or RW though, he could play the Hakimi role and be devastating from defence which he kind of already is

Thought his link up play, short passing and vision was the best we’ve seen of him yesterday

Massive confident player and he has absolutely none right now. Someone mentioned the other day that perhaps he’s having a difficult time with his mental health and I wouldn’t be surprised as he looks very downbeat and his game has fallen apart
