I think world class is a useful phrase. I’d say it accounts for a player who’s so good that they’d improve or fit into any team in the world and a player who’s proven their consistency over a few seasons

Barnes is a really good player and would be a perfect Howe player. I think he’s a little on the passive side unless he’s in a side that breaks really fast and has space but he’d get into most sides outside the top six on the left

The few times I saw him early on in the season he looked incredibly raw but had great pace. His stats look good for the season though. Is he actually off?

His form dropped off yeah, but I think the change of managers and him getting barely any minutes is probably the reason. I’d absolutely go for him

When you look at all those results together this season is just absurd. If we didn’t have other commitments next season I’d think we’d pick up even more wins in the league but it’s impossible to call given we’re going to be knocking Barca out of the group stages

Think he’s talking shit to try to make sure we don’t get shafted. We need probably 6 players minimum in to cope with the European games and the fact we have a few positions with aging players (defence especially)

What do we think lads and lasses, when will we get the first one over the line and how many will we sign? Given our squad would currently fall apart with added European midweek games

Fair enough, I can’t remember their whole squad. N’golo Kante, Mahrez and arguably Vardy were all world class that season. Drinkwater was fantastic. Just looked at their squad again, Danny Simpson, that wins the argument for Leicester without having to look at any other players

Is there a single thing that didn’t go to plan for us this season? Either our players had redemption arcs en masse or our best players played at their limit, or in the cases of Wood and Shelvey we managed to pawn them off for well above their market value. It was just a completely absurd season, especially when you consider how thin our squad was. Has there been a thinner squad that’s gotten champions league football? At least in the last 15 years?
