This would be a good idea if we update the thread after every match. The Bent moment was class
-
He's neither a playmaker nor a box to box midfielder. He can play extremely good passes though, awesome free kicks and good crossing. Hea very gifted when given time but he almost never controls our passing. Just not his game. If the team plays well around him, he becomes an infinitely better player as he has more space and time to pick excelled passes. Sadly, we're playing poorly and he most definitely is too
-
Was a decent effort as he had to hit it first time but it wasn't going to go in. Keeper had it covered if it was creeping inside the post. Good technique though, Tiote would have lofted it well into the stands
-
I really like that but could see us shipping goals. Still, we'd cane it going forwards
-
Was in a noisy pub but did te commentator repeatedly say 'bent has an obsession for scoring goals' several times. Found the comment really amusing
-
I lost my shit when he did his head shot off bent. Was hilarious

If football was perfect and we had all the money we could ever want and a board that Keegan got on well with and always wanted to back him, I'd take him back forever. Not sure how our youth would work out but we'd be one of the best sides in the league year on year. Unfortunately, Keegan can't work in many environments, least of all ours. Doesn't change the fact that I think he's an absolute inspiration and true football legend/hero for me
-
The problem is not where hes being played at the moment, he just seems so low on energy, really lacking urgency in his passing, movement and all parts of his game. They pressed us fucking hard all game today and we can't afford lackadaisical efforts. Needs to improve
-
I would be up for that actually. Junkhead mentions below that cisse has been more complacent and he has but I would definitely drop Ba before cisse. Having Marv on one side and Ben arfa on the other could be devastating
-
I remember when someone posted a line about him after we'd completed 1000 pages of his first thread. something about how his first coming would be good, his second (1000 pages) his best and then listed another two. The prophesy is as foretold. Even I, who has always thought he was an incredible talent, didn't expect him to be this good for us
-
Really enjoyed his forward runs today and thought he was better positionally in defence. Top lad
-
Disgusting twat, I was watching in a pub and after a while I was just calling him a cunt at the top of my voice

This lad has class written all over him. Love his passes along the ground, lovely pace and weight. Really positive as well. See you danny -
Absolute privilege to watch him as a Newcastle and football fan. I absolutely love him

No one has

Anyone watching this in the famous three kings?

fair comments. Let's see them put in a performance today
-
7th as well, but I expect us to get through Europa groups and hopefully do well in the FA cup. Carling Cup is most likely already fucked
-
good point It was in fairness, but we'll always struggle to hold onto them without CL football and CL football was always going to be even tougher this year with Chelsea shitting money like diarrhoea
-
I'm not going to talk about Champions League/Europa League football come next summer as there's no point talking about it two games in. Considering the season we've just had and the performances of many of our players, it's great everyone has stayed. Some other teams in our position have had to replace some of their best players. I think keeping the same players is the biggest key to long-term success and if we struggle until January I will be really disappointed if we sign no one then, but I personally don't think we're going to struggle as much as others are expecting. I think we're going to have a good season
-
More likely that transfer fees will go up and we don't even want to pay them now. Maybe you're right, I could be proved to be a fool but I think it will work out because all the signs over the past two seasons have said it's been working
-
They'll be able to afford it should they stay in the league. If they don't, they'll be going down, down, down Well we've been in the same league for three years but are expected to believe that we can't afford more than £3m. We had a good window last summer in my opinion. I said it at the time when no one else agreed. We did well to get Cisse in January. This has not been a great window, we've still got a great team and I expect us to make additions in the future. If we don't, then I'll start to get worried, not now
-
Or January if the right deal comes about. This sounds like I'm making excuses and maybe I am. We'll just have to wait and see
