Gorgeous is another, "oh what a gorgeous tackle", never heard them use it but can imagine it sounding creepy

May of been mentioned previously, a lot of pundits particularly this Euro's using the word 'cute'. Glenn Hoddle says it every second word at the moment, mainly when analysing defenders play. Turtle mouth Ferdinand uses it a fair bit too. And it annoys the bejesus out of me.

Did he not do the whole investigation thing when we went down last time? Waited till just before the season in the championship started, kept us and Shearer waiting for weeks fot a decision on the manager situation? Fell lucky mind with Hughts

Ed Harrison thinks he's certain to leave. Never clicking on his site ever again. All the titles of his articles usually finish with "... here's why". I noticed he started doing that on nearly every article since about 2 years ago, total trend setter. Lee Ryder has now started doing that with his. Sorry, totally irrelevant, just been irking me. Plus i couldnt find the Ed Harrison thread

He's the absolute least of our problems. Before the game having Taylor and MBemba together wasnt to much of a head scratching decision, ive liked what ive saw of Lascelles so far and would of preferred to see him start but i can see why he went for Taylor. In hindsight they were awful together but Anita and Janmaat (to a lesser extent)left them extremely exposed, would Lascelles of faired any better? Maybe. I can understand the Cisse situation too, the guy kept us in the league last year with sh*te service more a less on his own. Benitez wont stray from 4231, it works for him, its going to take time to for it to work with us, obviously time we havent got, but its our only chance. Id sooner have Benitez do that than some other chancer like the last few we've had play 2 up top long ball that never worked anyway. I dont believe any other manager would be doing any better than what he's doing with this bunch.

I thought Thauvin looked worse last night than anything Cabella showed us. Too early to judge like, but thought Wijnaldum looked equally as poor. Toney showed at least looks like he knows how to play up front, in terms of movement off the ball.

I was there last night. I travelled a couple of hundred miles before and after the game, maybe not as far as the wednesday fans, but i came alone. I thought i would be more mad than i am. What i saw was a team in transition. I thought the best players on the pitch were Anita, Williamson and Lascelles. I know these are players usually associated with being blamed/hated, but you could clearly see these were the players following their instructions. Anita dropping back between the centerbacks, with them two clearly instructed to give wee Vurn the ball and not just launch it forward. He had the ball for most the match, everything went through him. The problem lied in that Willo and Lascelles were the only real ones showing for it, getting into space pulling out wide, clearly doing as asked. Gary Neville and co could probably slate Anita for not creating anything of note, but its not his job. i thought he was excellent. The front 5 were static and predictable. Zero movement. You could see him looking for the pass but no-one wanted it. Maybe Obertan looked the only one willing to offer a run, just not often enough. I agree it doesnt look pretty at the moment, but the huge difference between our style of play now compared to the last 3 years is a positive in my eyes. Next step is to get the front 5 moving, its just going to take time. Which will ultimately tell us if McClaren is up to the job or not. But its far far too early to make that call. Poor result against poor opposition, but small signs change. Get the feeling it will get much worse before it gets better, but theres a feeling of hope somewhere deep within, which hasnt been present for quite some time.

He does squander a lot of chances, but the dude kept us in the division with his goals, in a shite awful side, with a shite awful coaching set up, and what looked like quite a sore knee.
-
He's playing in a side that creates next to nothing every game, there was only a couple of decent balls into the box all game and on another day he could of scored. Every time Williamson gets the ball he lofts one into him, he's not a exactly a target man. Hate how we as fans get on players back this quick, it's not like he's been starting every single week it's his first season. It's almost like its popular to slate this guy. His movement isn't that bad at all, yes he's snatched at his shots, but don't get all the hatred.
-
I thought he worked hard yesterday, i know thats not the measuring stick since thats all Gouff apparantly does, but thought Sammy helped Taylor out yesterday, doubled up on DiMaria alot. Thought he sacrificed any form of attacking to play as a second left back, no doubt as instructed.

Wor Kev was truly decent and English

The last thing I want is Carver as manager. Apart from abusing fans and sounding thick as mince, is he THAT bad a bloke? He won't get a better opportunity to manage than maybe this, but there's nothing wrong with him actively showing he wants the job at any cost is there? We've been shite for 4 years now, and it's hard to get away from thinking he's been a massive part of that. But was he just doing his job following instructions from that clown, has he got his own footballing philosophy? The Leicester and Burnley games were awful, the first half against Chelsea was one of the best halves we've played for a while. I don't think we are, but what if we're missing a trick with him? I hate myself for saying this tbh, don't know why I am, fully expect a ban

Dam you LionOfGosforth I was going to make that joke. I was going to say he's sweet like chocolate but hott like fire! Chocolate Fire Garde. But actually reading that I'm ashamed
-
Is Chris Coleman employed? He's been chirping up recently
-
Yet The Chronicle know about it. The Chronicle are known to get their words mixed up from time to time, they probably meant the candidate is off the aviation radar, meaning Gardes planes vanished (as mentioned earlier in the thread). Sorry thats in poor poor taste.

If there were to be a new manager appointed, they dont usually announce it till post 11pm to throw the newspapers a day out do they not?

I've been to Millom My mate played a snooker exhibition there a few years ago. Strange place to say the f***ing least. I live in a town very close to Millom, it's not only strange, it's deep dark and hateful, where it's not uncommon for some locals to have 6 fingers and some only 3 toes(no lie I've seen evidence of this first hand). The place really is gods dustbin, if there was a God that is, people (if you can call them that) that make mackems look pretty. Other than that they're a sound bunch and I have nothing against Millom. So for Wor Rémi to keep visiting a bloke who lives there that's not even his real f*cking uncle is simply astonishing, and in my eyes that alone makes me think this guys made it here, before he's even signed

I actually can't think of a worse idea. Short of shoving a toothpick down my jap, I'm struggling too. Could be the next Dean Saunders
-
I know its only one goal I know he runs with a kind of a hunchback I know he's a bit cack. Would it be naive of me to think maybe this guy could be transformed into a forward? His movement in the box is impressive like, yeah i dont know if he could hold the ball up, work the channels in a front foot fashion etc, but rather than just let his career die out being a pretty sh*t leftback could there be 'hope' elsewhere? Once Pards has f*cked off like, the horrific c*nt. He could fall into a tiger enclosure for all i care.

I obviously don't post often, hardly ever in fact, everytime I do someone mentions how many times I've posted. For the record I hate Pardew more than words can describe, he's is making me fall out of love with a sport that has been my life since I learned how to walk. I used to get butterflies before every match in case we got beat, If we did i would dread getting up the next day, sulked like f*ck. Now I don't care, wanted Gillingham to equalise the other night and felt relieved when palace equalised. It's weird I think we've got an decent squad (specialy the two we've loaned out) and there are players I really like that under a good manager I think could be great, but somehow I want them to lose until they have no option to fire him. F*ck I've even stopped playing myself, feel so underwhelmed with football right now, and that c*nt (sorry) Pardew is to blame. How can he live with himself ruining this special club with his sh*te cowardly style of play. In fact it isn't even a style, he's just picking a team, it's directionless soul destroying guff. Hurts watching that Andy Cole video on the other thread, the atmosphere and the passion was the Newcastle United I grew up loving, and when it flashed to Keegan, he looked inspired, that's what it's all about, he knew, he got us. Yeah so all in all would preferably like to see the back of Pardew.

I voted go can't stand the pr*ck

RodneyCisse - same here! Just see alot of people jumping on the bandwagon against this lad. Thought he gave alot tonight

Was everyone watching a different match to me? Obertan was by no stretch great, but he was certainly far from poor. He played a part in us keeping a clean sheet away from home in a difficult place. Defensively tracked back selflessly and later in the game tried to take it by the scruff of the neck and make something happen, when others were tiring. Remember this fella hasnt had a consistent run of games this season Think people are expecting too much to be honest
