I vouch! -
It's going to be tough getting a hotel room in Newcastle those nights.

Well done for catastrophically missing the point. There's a ocean of room to manoeuvre between bad mouthing someone and singing their praises while telling the fans THEY need to unify. Well he's right about that bit!

Should target the restaurant for throwing out the wrong person. And any other restaurant that lets the fat bastard in to gorge himself. -

I honestly think if the previous regime had had the explosion of new PL money wed be in a similar position to Spurs by now Could you imagine the Shepherds with this money? We'd definitely be where Spurs are, but they'll be rolling into the stadium with gold teeth, a gold limousine and 10 Spanish prostitutes. And I'll be totally okay with it. He'd be spending on marquee players and we'd be better off compared to where we are now because we'd have a few big name players at least, even if they might be over the hill. But it's still Freddie Shepherd. The lining of his own pockets wasn't the only issue even though it's a pretty big one - reducing our available resources, heavily influencing who who we'd buy since e.g. we brought exclusively from Willie McKay alot of the time just to further line the Shepherd family pockets. But his appointment in managers pre and post Sir Bobby was beyond dreadful. The guy appointed Souness, Roeder and Allardyce in an era when our competitors were going for world class talent (like Rafa) or progressive visionaries (Wenger at Arsenal). I remember the day Souness was appointed when practically our entire fanbase felt sick to our stomachs with how bad that appointment was, especially when you look back to who the rumoured candidates for the job were and the calibre of some of those putting their names forward. Houllier? Nope. Lippi? Nope. Capello? Nope. Cuper? Nope. Hitzfeld? Clearly a gambling scam. How about the widely viewed as shiite manager from Blackburn, at a club at the bottom of the table and on the verge of the sack, with a reputation for falling out with players? YES! It's exactly the same sort of shit decision making Ashley has shown for most of his tenure here. Spurs right now have Ponchettino, a progressive genius of a manager who Shepherd would probably never appoint. I'd argue the Sir Bobby era has heavily influenced how many people remember Shepherd. Sir Bobby was practically a Geordie with emotional ties to the club, a world class manager with vast continental experience at the highest levels, and coming towards the end of his career looking to return home - it was the easiest appointment in the world for Freddie, and something he should get minimal credit for (in the same way Ashley should get minimal credit for appointing Rafa, circumstances just aligned). There's no Sir Bobby out there for us, no easy appointment, so who do you honestly think Shepherd would be appointing? Probably a Moyes or Warnock. Yeah you pretty much nailed it. Will never forgive that Souness appointment. The only manager we have ever had that i wasn't prepared to give a single second of time to. Even now it turns my stomach just seeing him on TV. -
Surprised he ever caught him, the fat git.

The main problem is the fans . Footballs full of rich cunts using clubs for their own benefit . Most fans seem to have an abnormally low iq and will passively accept whatever shit the owner throws at them . Ashley could rape their kids on the halfway line at half time and they wouldnt even blink Alright that sort of line has been done to death now - bit distasteful that one. Indeed.

Aye you did but if a plane is in the air flying it's going to have forward momentum anyway so is potentially recoverable. If a plane loses its tail though it will drop like a stone just like a helicopter losing its tail rotor. The helicopter at least has a chnce as you say but would probaly tip over as it would be spinning as it hit the ground i guess. Survivable provided it doesn't catch fire as was the case here. As you say though heroes all. The BA case had the pilots planning to land without engines by the way. They used autopilot for the glide and it took the plane from 37000 to 12000 when the engines were restarted. One of the most tense episodes of Air Crash Investigation i've watched.

Yep, agree with this. You have a chance, if something goes wrong with a plane, but helicopter is nearly always fatal. That's just not true. At all. This was a mechanical failure of the tail rotor which makes it very very difficult to control. But if there is no mechanical locking or breaking a helicopter can land with no power. Only light planes can do that. Jets drop with no forward momentum. Helicopters don't. Physics works. When you learn how to fly them, even rc ones, you have to learn how to land with no power as part of your licence. It's called autorotation. Use the rushing air for lift and right before landing you pull up and it smoothly lands. It's very basic physics. Obviously when helicopters do go they can look far more dramatic, which probably gives the impression they're unsavable. It's not true that airliners just drop out of the sky. Depending on altitude they can glide a long way. The case of a Quantas plane that flew through an ash cloud from an erupting volcano in Indonesia was a case in point. All engines flamed out and the flight crew were planning on landing at the nearest runway while trying repeatedly to restart the engines. Eventually they got them started so the decided to retun to the airport they took off from and flew through the ash cloud again. Same thing happened. Again they got the engines restarted a second time and landed safely despite the windscreen being so damaged by the ash that they could barely see through it. It's amazing what these pilots can do given half a chance. This pilot didn't get that have chance though. It was a BA jet not Quantas and only one engine failed on the way back.

That's the thing though, even if he does sell protests would need to carry on (obviously not affecting new owners in any way) untill all ties are severed and preferably the asset stripping being reversed. We don't want a Rangers situation here. -
I'd get an hour away from the wife if i don't go!
-
Yip, I've already had "If your not going can I use your ticket" fuckin idiots. I'm expecting to get that too!
