Thats an old image. That land is mostly built on now, being built on, and has plans to be built on.
There is nowhere near enough land there now.
Additionally we need those buildings big. The Helix complex will bring outstanding research and scientific facilities to the city and is vital for increasing the skilled job sector in the city.
It's Castle Leazes he's illustrating surely.
Land it's on is twice the size of SJP. The area needs investment and the Arena is due to come down soon anyway. It's the perfect place to build a new stadium if the new owners are inclined to do so.
Any of us who think we'll get our old seats, or any other seats for that matter, back is living in cloud cuckoo land. Those who refused to boycott are the ones who will benefit from a change of ownership, not us.
Only for one season....though I agree it’s not ideal
Came up with the same idea. It reduces the risk of legal action by teams who would feel aggrieved at any decision that stops that happening.
This applies to several clubs who are currently building new training grounds or planning to do so as a result, including Leicester and Liverpool. The general point still stands though.
Presumably the Leicester City one will be twice as good as it's costing twice as much-

It's all very depressing
