  1. Aye. Regardless of what the actual attendance was... For a well publicised and planned boycott it's a pretty poor effort from the match goers. Can't say I expected it to go any better. Too many zombies.
  2. not sure about case closed, but aye, good sign.
  3. Just didn't look it on screen, obviously you don't see all areas of the pitch but if it was 10k short of capacity I'd still expect to have seen more empty seats. I don't agree with a lot of what shadow puppet says, but he's right, just sounds like they're trying to make it sound more successful than it was.
  4. I don't believe it was 42k like. No way.
  5. How can something be predictable when it doesn't precede anything though? After 18 games if the same mistakes that cost us today are happening, then yes, predictable, but after the first game? I'm not sure that makes much sense. Fwiw there was some promising signs in the first half today in our play and a few players in particular caught the eye. I'll choose to not plummet into abject misery just yet. It's predictable because Bruce isn't a brand new manager to the league and most people knew what level to expect from the minute he arrived. The promising signs in the first half, were before he changed anything.
  6. Ah, the old 'nothing the poster said is inherently wrong and I have no points to counter anything said so I'll just insert a smiley'... classic, classic. Not a lot to suggest Rafa’s tactics would have got us a win there? Are you on drugs? Remember us beating Man City?? Even if there's nothing to suggest he would have 'got the win', there's plenty to suggest we wouldn't have went down the route Brucey took and basically wipe out any chance we had of getting something Steve Bruce's first sub in the PL as NUFC manager literally ruined anything we had going in the first half. A lovely sign of things to come.
  7. Looking forward to more Steve Bruce masterclass' as the season goes on
  8. That will be the high of the season. That figure will included ST holders who didn't turn up. Always used it anyway. Doesn't look any less than that tbf. Lower than i expected. If that numbers correct, it's a decent start. Only issue is that this is a well publicised boycott and it'll be full houses after this.
  9. This is what it all comes down to for me, when I give my ticket up a few years back due to Mike, my dad said 'won't make a difference'. I said nar but it it does to me. I still stand by that sentiment.
  10. I'll be watching all season on tv as usual. Reverted to my pre-Rafa state where results don't make any odds to my day, just resigned to the fact we're nothing until he's gone. I'm actually interested to see what the new signings look like out of pure curiosity.
  11. Haven't watched or read anything he's said since arriving, think I'll keep it that way if he's being compared to Pardew
  12. Seems everyone who has tried to buy us since Ashley took over has been a timewaster. What a coincidence. Theres 1 common denominator Yet people believe that they aren't genuinely interested.
  13. Aye, was always going to be imo.
  14. I’ll not know until Sunday, I boycotted Spurs and was one of only around 15 who went in late last season in the Milburn Paddock but I’m more inclined to go on Sunday. Ashley is the disease I don’t want my club to die as a result and they’re will be players out there on Sunday who need our support and are the future. Might sound contrived but there you go, I can certainly boycott in the future if I decide otherwise on Sunday. If they're good, they aren't our future.
  15. No doubt. People have skewed memories and hold shite who ended up in the obscure and lower leagues in high regard for us. See abeid, bigirimana etc You can't really compare those 2 to Krul. Krul was fucking brilliant for us at times.
  16. Even finding it hard to hate Liverpool, thanks Mike.
  17. So fuckin annoyed that I can't get excited over us making a couple of 'big' signings heading into the new season. Should be absolutely buzzing for Sunday now.
  18. No match thread speaks volumes of the majority feeling on here
  19. Saying we don't need another striker and including Gayle and a largely unproven Muto to back that up is a bit mental like.
  20. It's a massive step up in terms of ambition. I think any of our players would jump at the chance to move to a Leicester type club over stagnating up here with Steve Bruce. Looking forward to seeing Perez' celebration against us.
  21. Fitting in nicely with everything else at the club then.
