Usually tho movements, runs, patterns are trained and it is a bit difficult for a DM to alone "taka iniative" if no one else is making themselves available. Passing is easy when the movement is right

It really is laughable how badly we are attacking. De Jong and Gini are not making themselves free for a pass at all. No one is running behind. If false 9 comes deep then someone should be making runs behind for the space left by the centerhalf. De Jong, Gini and Perez should be moving freely from left to right and changing positions, making runs behind. Our play is ridiciously static. And what is the point of possession football if you don't press at all when you lose the ball. Your midfield will be all over the place and team like Watford ffs murder us on the break. Can't really recall any NUFC team in the last 10 years to have any kind of pressing (Gegenpressing..)

I think Taylor's injury+Colo's new contract will be his downfall. Colo is so soft and Mbemba still needs time to learn. We really need to win at least 1 or 2 of the next 3. Dunno which is easier, City away or Mackems away

We played a lot of crosses, which is ridicilous when your only striker is Cisse in the first half and Perez in the second. Add to that the fact that our crossing was horrible. Mitrovic is a must to have on the field when we play like this. The worrying thing is our midfield looked very vulnerable with Colback instead of Anita as a DM. And Colback is way too slow on the ball, takes too many touches, plays slow floated balls and can only kick the ball with his left foot. Haidara has to improve, he was horrible. So was Thauvin's crossing. I think he just tried too much and had a decent shot saved. Seems like we have no pattern of play. No idea in the attacking third how to break the defense. No combinations, no give&go and generally not enough movement. Our play is way too slow. Either we are gonna have to start counter attacking or then find a way to add movement to our attacking play. This way we are not gonna score enough to stay up.

Looks to me to be neither a midfielder or a forward. You might be able to do that in the Dutch league but in the premier you've got to be prepared to put your foot in. Aye I mean we really can't find a way to get him involved. He should be floating between the lines playing through balls to Sissoko, Thauvin and Perez. Now he is a bit like more intelligent and technical Cisse. No involment in the build up.

It is quiet worrying that again De Jong was very little involved. He made nice touches and played few brilliant passes, but very quiet game again for him.

Can't really fault Colback for second goal. Colo loses the header and decides to stand and let the opponent turn and pass through without putting any pressure That is the basic of defending man. Mbemba didn't follow the run but awful from Colo

The first half were so passive it's ridicilous. If you are at home against promoted team you should be pressing high and not letting them time on the ball at all. This was totally the opposite, we stood away and let them run and pass around our defense. Worst half that I have seen in a while.

Gini has been poor. Totally non-existent
