    1. Lots of team have anchorman dropping between centerbacks, this allows fullbacks to push up and center halves to move to wing. Usually opponent is pressing with 2 men so there is an extra man. Now West Ham let us have the ball after the goal and just prevented the passes to midfield. Mbemba was wawing players to move many times when he had the ball and had time to move with it. 2. Sissoko can't defend, at all. He forgets his man all the time leaves huge gaps and gets caught ball watching. He needs room to burst into and would be useful in a right side of midfield three. He is not playing as a winger and nor should he. Our movement without the ball is awful, and without Mitro all the long balls are like giving the ball away. We need better movement and dropping of Mr. Hiding aka Colback.
  2. I don't mean he needs to be fast. And players like Pirlo (the real, not Ginger Pirlo) are not lighting quick. SDJ is an intelligent playmaker, but with Cisse up top it's totally useless to keep him as a no 10. Cisse can't time his runs and would just be offside everytime SDJ tries a through ball. I like the fact that he can score and can shoot. Something our other midfielders can't. His vision is great tho, played some lovely passes to Haidara.

Wijnaldum was also at sleep in the first goal. Saw Payet free, then decided to run towards him and suddenly stop and left him totally free. Of course all the others were ball watching and Colback's block was worthless.

Bit odd they didn't switch flanks with Sissoko. Moussa's strength against Tomkins and Thauvin against Cresswell would have suited better I think. And why put crosses in when you are attacking slowly and there is only Cisse in the box? Just let him cut in from left to make room for Janmaat

1, 2 or 3 up front is not the problem. Slow build up play is. Too cautious.
  6. Yea he seems a class player. A bit like the one on my avatar. He just goes a bit missing and doesn't seem to look for space that much. Many times Wijnaldum had to pass it to wing because SDJ wasn't trying to become available. He can be good and is real no 10. Just a lot of work needed to make it work.

We are trying to keep it on the deck and build it slowly. Just that our midfield pair has no ability to pass the ball forward and our fullbacks can't beat their man. Maybe Janmaat can occasionally. It's just keeping the ball with no threat. West Ham didn't broke sweat. Really need to have more attacking minded players on the pitch
  8. Very immobile. Good first touch and tries to play nice flicks, but can't really see how he can make it in Premier league. Intelligent but slow.
  9. He was so fking poor again. How on earth is he playing, I mean 3 managers have picked him.
  10. Sissoko completely ball watching in that counter.. he really can't defend to save his life.
  11. Our crosses seem to be aimed at the chest of Cisse. So poor from Haidara and Moussa.
  12. We have passed it around a lot. Not much forward though, which is really no surprise
  13. Greece has been awful. We were clueless under Paatelainen and should have beaten Hungary at least once.. very poor quality teams in this group.
  14. It's like if you buy rejects from big clubs you are doing well, cause he has heard of them before. But if you buy a Dutch international who played in the WC, it's a gamble. With Merson's thinking Rodwell is better than Wijnaldum When do these journos start to watch European football..

8th is pretty realistic for us next season. Would think we end between 9th and 14th this season. The league is extremely tight this season, very hard to predict teams going down.

I think Wijnaldum will drop a bit deeper very soon. Either De Jong or Perez as a no 10 in that case. Perez hopefully. The formation may change to 4-3-3 soon anyway, or 4-1-4-1 like againt ManU.

Colback and Anita played against Spurs last season when we won there btw.. I think Anita has played well in the new system, drops deep between centre halves in the build up and allows the fullbacks to push up. The worrying thing is Colback cannot receive a ball and play it forward. Bentaleb is not really rated among Spurs fans that I know either. Still don't think both should play. Both like to choose the easy pass too often. But we have decent players in midfield, need fullbacks and a striker to replace Cisse.

He won't play on the wing now. Yea, Borini of course on the left, Lens (who looks good I admit) right, but Defoe as only CF really doesn't seem like Advocaat's system. Johnson will surely start when fit, so Johnson right, Lens left and Borini up top? They have good players but Toivonen is the only one who gives different option. If as it seems Fletcher and Graham are not good enough for Dick
  19. I thought release clauses in Spain work the way that the player himself pays it and then the buying club obv pays it to said player. So why the hell Pedro would accept that kind of nonsense? VI should help us out on this one

How on earth are they happy with their window? Lots of posts on RTG about how "congers did well" etc. They have Championship standard left back, horrible centrehalves apart from O'Shea, totally useless Cattermole still in midfield.. Pantilimon is a good keeper and M'Vila looks like a good player. Defoe might not be interested being on the wing the whole season.
  21. Yeah I'm sure because that coiffed haired c*** of an owner is not in it for the money. I don't even know what Palace owner looks like, but our players are being sold almost at the first opportunity. Hopefully this now changes with SM in the boardroom
  22. the thing is Palace may not sell those players as easily as Mike
