I agree with this apart from the Townsend part, partly because I think hes crap and the other part is he has no record of creating these chances you speak of. Townsend still probably is (and has to be) better than Thauvin has been this season. I am not saying Townsend is gonna be assisting loads of goals, but just because we are gonna be threat on both sides are gonna make us harder to defend against. Doumbia seems like a tricky and pacey striker, which we really haven't had in a while.

Cannot understand why people see this as a bad deal. It's a loan so seems like low risk - high reward kind of deal. If the starts scoring, great, if not then he goes back. I don't think most people are doubting his quality, more expressing their disappointment that we appear to be neglecting other areas that, in their view, are a higher priority than a winger. Personally I think if we play him on the left he'll do well for us and add another dimension to our game but would have preferred to see a CB or striker brought in first. We are not gonna buy CB because of Colo's new contract and Taylor gettinf fit again. Colo is not going to get benched, no way

Tbh their 2 wins came against Swansea and Villa, cant't really see them performing against bigger teams. Allardyce usually wants his team to be in perfect shape, hiring him middle of the season when he really can't do much about fitness is not very smart move imo.

Mackems are still going down like. They just rely too much on Defoe. They let in too much goals, very unusual for Allardyce team. Swansea is a mess, and would think we will be fighting with Bournemouth, Norwich and Sunderland+Swansea. Norwich just doesn't have enough quality.
