Damn! I already nominated Litmanen once Iniesta's close control, dribbling, passing and link up play is better than Zidane's. He's also eclipsed him in terms of domestic and international tournaments. What I loved about Zidane though was his ability to hold off players with such ease whilst playing so gracefully, he did make football look like an art. The cliche about Zidane having an aura about him is true, but he just didn't do it consistently enough throughout a season. Although when he did show up in big games he looked a class above anyone else in the world. He only won La Liga once in his 5 years there during a galactico era. Only won the champions league once aswell. He didn't carry a great team onto greatness like Xavi, Iniesta or even Ronaldinho have. Xavi, Iniesta and the whole Barca team has been great, its not like someone has carried the team there.

For me, the best player ever. Maradona would be but never really saw him play. When someone says football is a beautiful game ZZ is one of the reasons. Such technique, such flair and all great players need a bit of personality. That`s one reason why Messi for me isnt the greatest ever.

This. Ba is much more intelligent footballer and is making runs in behind etc. Cisse is so static or times his runs horribly and goes offside. They really should make some sort of progress in forming the partnership. Other one comes towards the ball, other makes runs behind the fullback or something. They really arent creating anything with combinations either.

Of course that would be the perfect formation but I thought it was impossible because of Ba's attitude. Anyway the 4-3-3 without one of them is a bit of counter attackin formation, because if Cabaye plays behind the striker, like he should, there is very little strenght in the box.

If Pardew wants to play 4-3-3 and play both then why does he put Cisse right and Hatem left? Ben Arfa has been great when cutting in from right and Simmo or Santon an overlap. Cisse is good at lurking around area and making himself a bit of space so he should attack far post. Ba centre. But we really need a left winger who can cross and has pace.

Marty really has no other game plan exept to counter. It was actually fun to watch when Sunderland had the ball and they tried to pass it under a bit of ManC pressure No movement from midfield when the centrebacks had the ball...

I thought Santon can also cross a bit.. Jonas is horrible crosser though.

We really need to start crossing the ball a lot more. We have 2 strikers who are strong in the air so why we try to pass the ball to the box all the time.

Man, they had 0 shots on target against 10 men and their goals came from a huge mistake and a poorly defended set piece. They didnt create a single opportunity.
