Chiellini was bitten and has come out in his defense. It's a ridiculous punishment, ban him 4,6 months 12 months from football, but banning him from training and going to watch games is ridiculous and has nothing to do with a fair punishment and all to do with politics. It's ridiculous. Most of the world of football is defending him, everyone from Johan Alvbåge in Sweden to Falcao in Brazil to Alexis Sanchez to Chiellini in Italy. World Cup players are saying it's excessive. Why were Tasotti and Leonardo allowed in 94 to still be a part of the squad? Why weren't their credentials taken away from them and sent home? I don't care if it's three bites, ban him in official football games not on what he does in his sparetime, FIFA are really putting themselves into a dangerous zone by doing this and are going to have to go hard on every off the ball incident now. He can still keep fit/train on his own time. As for being banned from going to watch games, fans get banned from stadiums all the time, most of them for less than attempted canabolism. Forgot it's an individual sport. As for cannibalism, look up the internet for it's definition, or I guess we've changed it and all kids are cannibals as well? The ban is excessive IMO. I'll leave it at that though. We'll see how CAS looks at it, wouldn't surprise me if the games stands but the not training with teammates and going to watch games doesn't. Don't know about the ban, but really. What kind of a person bites another player. The guy needs serious help. IMO he should be allowed to train and watch games, but these kind of players really hurt the beautiful game. You can't compare Suarez's actions with headbutting incidents, like Pepe&Muller, when these are usually slightest of touches that the other guy makes a meal of. What on earth was LS thinking?

Interesting to see Chile´s lineup. 2 upfront against back 4? think they will go with Valdivia to make it look like front three. Vidal playing deeper pressing Sneijder and bursting forward from deeper..
-
We are all over the place. Huge gaps between midfield and defence and nowhere near enough pressure on the ball. Pardew is a genius: High line with no pressure on the ball---> lots of through balls. Liverpool will score double figures if we play like this at Anfield.
-
Stupid idea to go with Shola up front on his own. Hatem is too lazy to press the centre back and Shola is too fking slow. They passed out easily from the back. Brown and O´Shea ffs! Shola couldnt hold the ball at all, Altidore did this well.

Gouff right Moussa middle.. Pardew

We are really missing Tiote
-
Anita giving a ball away too much. They are pressing harder now though so we need more movement.
-
His passing has been horrible though...
-
I'm not surprised at that price. They must be devastated we've now got Kinnear in charge or transfers and Di Canio only wants to sign Finnish reserve players from the Georgian fourth division or whatever. Nothig wrong with Finnish reserve players man!

tbf due to not getting players in the box the oppo can usually press high against us meaning the full back gets closed down quickly. That's why it's not a great tactic to sit so deep and use the long ball as an out. If we encouraged forward movement and passed the ball quicker in possession like the better teams I think we could do much better. Just think back to what Keegan did to the side we were struggling with under Allardyce. tbf Keegan used Martins as an out ball often. Using his pace to get behind oppo right back. Long ball to him towards the corner flag. Worked a treat because of Oba´s pace.

He is if others can create him enough chances. Cisse´s link up play aint so bad, his touch today was.

10 new signings seems to be too little. 8 already and couple of more close. He really is getting a whole new starting XI in this window. Gonna end up as a massive disaster.
-
PDC is signing too many players in one window. Can see them easily getting 10 in and almost as many out. Altidore is a good player if he can keep the form of AZ, but the others are simply not very good, like Mannone.

This is my bugbear. If you have both a quarterback and a defensive midfielder, then you have two players side by side in the centre, neither getting forward, albeit with different roles. It doesn't work very well. Tiote should be pressingh higher up on the pitch. He gives ridicilous amount of silly and needless fouls and freekicks when he sits in front of CBs. Cabaye playing a bit deeper so he has time on the ball and can use his best attribute: passing. If he is higher up pressing the opp, he tires himself out in 60 minutes.

Coutinho would have probably went past Tayls with ease if he had tried to close him down too soon. IMO he looked pretty good dribbler. Tayls has no idea Sturridge is behind him. First rule when playing a high line/offside is to pressure the guy with the ball. If MYM is trying to leave DS offside its a horrible decision because there is so much space for Coutinho. I can understand Tayls backing, and if MYM follows Sturridge it´s a simple 2 vs 2 and Tayls should show Coutinho away from centre to his left foot. Ok, it happens pretty fast but still, you just cant play offside in that situation. And sorry for my crap English.
-
3rd goal was MYM´s fault I IMO. He should have followed Sturridge but decided to try and close Coutinho for some reason. It´s 2vs2 and DS was Mapou´s man.

We have to DMs but they are nowhere to be found it seems..
-
Pardew is trying to contain opposition and defend, but then he decides to play players out of position and doesnt teach them the basics of defending. Every Sunderland player knew Hatem was cutting for his left foot. WHY ON EARTH WE LET SESSEGNON AND JOHNSON TO CUT IN TO THEIR PREFERRED SIDES.
-
Struggles a bit like Colo in his first season, nothing to worry I think. He will come good.
-
Leaving at the end of the season anyway. So we good, but Fat Mike..
-
Moyes really isnt the answer. Everton are playing simple football and getting the best out of their 4-5 key players. At SJP it was long ball to Fellaini. Granted it was better than Pardew´s plan which was.. hmmm... I dunno actually
-
After Cabayes withdrawal we could only hoof. Should have played Haidara from the start to get attacking fullback on both sides. But like I said, we looked tired and they looked prepared. They actually had a counter attacking plan and both wingers were wide and offered an out ball. And why no one picked Sessegnon, I do not know.

Jonas cant play left back ever again. I dont want to see him near out team. He just cant defend.
