Some papers were claiming we had made a deal for Möchengladbach´s Alexander Ring for 500k. Good young player, but not good enough for Prem and we have 10000 midfielders anyway. So seems bs.

Maybe some sort of midfield diamond, no idea. I doubt that Pardew himself has an idea of next season. IMO Sissoko is not very good at pressing and tackling though.

Cabaye´s long range passing is something we really need, doesn´t really matter if opponent sit deep or not. His crossfield passes make the opponent midfield run like hell across the pitch and there really is not much room behind the line anyway. I can understand what you mean, but keeping him deeper allows him to get on the ball more often. Sissoko is a strong lad and can score, he should be in the box as often as possible. Trust me, as a no 10 Cabs has to play with his back towards the goal more often and has very little time on the ball. Roaming Sissoko as number 10 for me.

Cabs should be nowhere near Sissoko´s position. Totally different type of players.

Spain played so boring again.. ofc they had something like 15 shots and 20 corners but still they didnt have many clear chances.

MON must be thinking "What, are defenders allowed to cross the halfwayline?"

If Cabs is out for the weekend game hopefully he gets the chance in the midfield 3 with Sissoko and Tiote. No need for Jonas there..

I think he is most effective as a right sided forward. Not as a traditional winger and can drift/cut in to his favoured left, with Debuchy overlapping it would sound a great right wing to have. Debuchy is so good going forward that defenders can´t double up on Hatem so much anymore. Why change it when it worked last season? I think he is not and will not be an effective false 9, because he likes to hold the ball up a lot and slow down the play too much when central.. Still, a great player to have and hope he stays fit and with us for years to come.

They played very well against City and Pochettino is starting to get his ideas through. It will be tough test and cant understand why someone is expecting a comfortable win. Hell, I´m so scared I would accept a draw

If you look that West Ham midfield three and compare it to ours, we really are a lightyear ahead. Their passing is sooooo poor and Nolan and Noble always take 3-4 touches before passing.

Except Reina is twice the keeper Jussi is. Well yea. But still JJ is better keeper than he gets credit for. West Ham´s attacking play is sooooooo slow. They really need Jarvis to stretch play cause they will never score this way. Maybe from a set piece.

I think Jussi has been good, but then again few games when he has been awful. A bit like Reina.

I think it works well. His long passes are dangerously accurate and he keeps finding time on the ball when coming to pick the ball from Colo/Taylor. Opposition doesnt press him so much and he sees the pitch well. Of course his long range shots are something we need.
