2 Wins? Llambias has been saying the same stuff and has quietly gone about building a pretty impressive squad for more than 2 years now. Besides the stadium naming farce, he's done pretty well on the supporter side too in regards to the family enclosure, charity/foundation malarkey, and the regular ticketing deals. I think that's what people judge him on. Not the 2 wins.

If you've got Sissoko bombing on and Cabaye spreading balls around and sliding through balls for runners its going to be very difficult for midfields/defences to pick people up. That'll also only mean more space for HBA to operate in when he comes back too.

hard work and planning seems to me that's what carr is in reality, the mackems are right to point out he's not some super-scout finding world beaters in the belgian 4th div or whatever, he seems to be a modern scout in the sense that he's looking at the full picture and gets himself an inside track on great deal for players who are known already but are a tier or so below the top fantastic work like, crazy few days I don't like to admit it because I'm not particularly fond of the man, but Derek llambias deserves credit for these signings too.

I think it's this simple: we've got a transfer policy which, if we stick to it, long term, will do us a lot of favours, as we've seen over the last couple of years. We had one bad window but were always unlikely to have two in a row. Another bad window may / probably will happen again in the future if we stick to our way of doing things, particularly if we start going for a slightly higher calibre of player, but it is the right thing to do regardless, whatever pressure the fans might try to exert to spend more money. Here's hoping he continues to totally ignore everyone and get on with his job then
