I think there was a stat recently about Nolan outscoring all of their forwards combined in the league.

Not sure what we should be expecting from a £750,000 nomad. He clearly has the basics but that's all he has at the minute. Really needs to push himself and see how far he can go.
-
“They can put together whatever they like. He is not for sale. I am going to say it for one last time, he is not for sale,” Why am I even pushing this issue? We're learning nothing new.

Agree. He's growing on me as well. Whilst I agree, I do cringe when he represents us in the press room. The guy needs some lessons in how to talk properly Just hope there are no "...... will not be sold this summer" situations. Would really damage his credibility. Dec 10th: "The fact he (Carroll) is a local boy and has a certain 'je ne sais quoi' bodes well. He is somebody the Toon Army loves, and I guarantee while I am here he will be here.” More fool you for believing him. Nothing more than a soundbite when in reality it was never his call. When did i say I believed it? Just pointing out that he has already made a dick of himself guaranteeing things he has no control over. He's only 'made a dick of himself' to the idiots who believe everything he comes out with. Not everyone took his word as gospel. I wouldn't blame the average fan if they believed such strong, repeated statements. I think one of the first things he said was that Carroll wouldn't leave and he had guarantees about it.

His twitter certainly gets a lot of attention on here even though "it's really boring"...
-
What choice do we have when we were told very clearly that he was brought in as an improvement?
-
He'll "stick his neck on the line" because he knows he has it infinitely better here than he ever will anywhere else. That second part is horrifying. Rarely has he produced any goods.
-
Motherfuckers acting like they forgot about Faye Stunning.
-
If he kept the mental strength he shows when he takes penalties going through the whole match he'd be a completely different player.
-
I'm in this camp. The way he reacted when he got the card and when he dropped to his knees when he misplaced a pass in the second half shows he really cares. With a more mobile midfielder next to him he wouldn't need to do the work of two men and would hopefully give away less fouls. The constant "shooooot" is irritating too. He's hit 1 good (god-like) shot all season.
-
I'm sure there are at least 10 quotes which prove otherwise. Didn't he guarantee that Carroll wouldn't leave?
-
Being spineless and a liar should be enough to condemn him.
-
This "fact" shouldn't work in his favour. I do believe he wanted Ireland though.
-
He had a transfer window and hugely fucked it up. We're lucky to be safe at this stage.

This is the match that keeps on giving I still think about it a few times a week -
That is Gosling and (at a push) Williamson. Anyone else or has this theory fallen apart already? Jonas? Didn't he eventually cost about £5 million?

Eh? Buying a player with such a serious long term injury was always a stupid risk to take. However, it was a classic case of this NUFC regime identifying a player who could be picked up on a free and then hoping he would generate a large profit. Gosling wasn't signed because Hughton wanted him to be a first team player, he was bought due to the contractual loop hole meaning he was available for nowt. Getting a player who is free and has (apparently) decent potential just isn't enough, is it? This MUST be another of Ashley's plans to bring the club down.

Yeah, but he's a celebrity so he can't be tedious! #twitterisforteenagers

It's going to be 3 months before the movers get even the slightest bit of acknowledgement. The DD scheme seemed like a bargain at the time. It'll end up as 1 monthly payment.

I'm feeling nostalgic for black and white stripes. Back in my day etc...
