Btw that sums Owen up. Would choose against playing as much as possible and doing his part for that struggling team. w*****. He did an interview about a year ago and said similar odious things. I'd say Villa a few weeks ago was worse than this but i agree with the Pardew stuff. He talks a good game but after that he's worryingly not doing any better than Hughton. I also can't shake off those rumours about how he got the job.

His latest goal ratio is absolute s****. Why settle with a player of his calibre when we should/can get a player with decent goal ratio? "Do a good job"/work hard is more of a job for the midfield. We need goal scorers. As this season (and many other seasons) has proved, we also need a few squad strikers who are reliable and capable of doing a good job when needed. Doyle will do that. So will Shola and Leon Best. We need to sign quality not s****. Ameobi is not reliable at all. I seem to remember people being happy when Doyle was ruled out against us. How times change.

which is an even bigger contrast when you consider the supposed faults and limits there are to Kevin Nolan's game (have to admit I'm a fan of Nolan though) Even bigger still when you know Nolan and Owen both have the same amount of goals for us.
