Fellaini was the best player over the two legs, Osman MOTM by far last night, really impressive. Didn't Wilshere liken him to Iniesta? Ok so he's not quite as good but I can see the comparison. TBF, your whole team looked quality. Heitinga and Distin were rock solid in both games, your midfield was decent, they dominated and now you've added a goalscorer. I even thought Gibson was alright, which is strange as I always thought he was a long shot specialist and nowt more at Man U. Bit like one of the mackems last night Gueye was impressive and all. Him and Velios tore our reserves apart a while back and looked good on the highlights. Always had a soft spot for Everton due to one of my closest mates supporting them and maybe to do with the fact they have been trolling sunderland since 2001. Shame I now want liverpool to win the semi can't believe there will be two games, barring sunderland where I want liverpool to actually win How have we got ourselves into this situation!

From the sun article. So it would be more than £50k a week apparently. Surely he would get decent bonuses on top of a basic £50k anyway? Thought our contracts were supposedly going to be performance based?

Everton were class last night, but MY WORD, sunderland were atrocious. Yet again, they're fucked if they don't score first and their inability to actually get more than a shot on target per game has cost them. They lack creativity going forward, McClean is a one trick pony, the defenders have one passing mode, which is HOOF. Bendtner plays about 1 good game in 5, Sessegnon looked greedy, Gardner and Larsson are the definition of average and Cattermole..... I saw a few on RTG saying he was MOTM some of his long range passing (shanking) was hilarious, he was constantly out of position and was lucky not to get booked for nearly instigating a brawl. Which would have meant him getting sent off, as he got his customary yellow later on. If it wasn't for Mignolet and a few wayward finishes, it would have been 5 or 6. Did Howard have a save to make until the 93rd minute? Now got to cheer for the red half of Liverpool in a few weeks. I'm not liking this.

Annoying thing is, we have 2 games in quick succession against Swansea and Bolton over Easter. Would be confident of winning the latter with or without him, but Liverpool and Swansea will be a nightmare. Our game against Chelsea being postponed on the 14th April is now a blessing in disguise, as it should hopefully mean Colo is only going to miss 3 games.

Expecting him to come into the midfield with Jonas shifting to left back. A midfield 3 of him, Cabaye and Guthrie would be pretty decent I reckon. Just hope AP sticks with the 4-3-3. The thought of another disjointed, clueless, Stoke like 4-4-2 doesn't bare thinking about.

Can only really echo others views, pretty well covered on here! Surprised at how good his all round game is, thought he was just going to be a 'poacher' type. An instinctive striker and has so far fluffed his 3 seemingly easier chances. His movement is superb, was worried he was going to get caught offside a lot, as the stats from Germany seemed to suggest he was born offside. Amazing to think he's looking this good and he still doesn't speak English and is yet to settle

Just before he scored, the slight feint where le looked like he was going to shoot then just shifted it before putting it away....you can't put into words the magic in stuff like that. Any football fan outside of wearside must look forward to watching this lad play. That shift is what caused the defender to lose his footing. He was anticipating the shot then had to try and extend further due to the shift, causing the slip. HBA made him slip, there was nothing fortunate for HBA as Redknapp tried to make out. Exactly what I was screaming at the TV, really pissed me off that. When they tracked his run on MOTD, you can clearly see where he jinks at the last second, as the line skews off, hence why Olsson slips. Really crafty that, did it with such pace that you barely notice it until you see the replay. Was anyone else screaming for him to pass it yesterday? Only for him to then skin about 5 players in a row

The Scotswood Road line 3 times Once at the end of the first verse (wrong) some sing it in the middle of the chorus (wrong) and again at the end of the chorus (correct). Absolutely no need to sing it so fast either, it sounds horrendous.

Five in midfield? Throwaway comment? Hoping it's just another one of his silly comments, you know the ones where he tries to come across as clever, but ends up sounding ridiculous

PM please. Cheers Its on the sun's website. Think the video name is on the Messi thread too in case you never got a pm Cheers Roger.

Didn't see the game, but Real dropping points two games in a row, WOW, did not see that. Ozil and Ramos sent off? Surely the wheels aren't falling off just yet?! Well, hopefully they are, would love them to fuck up a 10 point lead.

Granted only ever seen footage of Maradona and Pele, as I'm not old enough to have seen them live. But going on raw ability, Messi is out of this world. Still stand by what I said ages ago in this thread though, comparing players over generations is difficult and I'm not that keen on doing it. Still, Messi probably is the best ever. Pele pffft

 Sounds like an extra from Black Hawk Down. Did he have an AK as well?
-
Did it against sunderland as well. Still looks really keen to always work it back onto his left though.
-
That is superb Nobody would be brave enough to cut them up though!

They are all very good, but I think my favourite is his first. Amazing technique there, and he makes it look so easy. What a player, absolutely unbelievable. Yeah I just don't know, he seems to have gone chip and lob crazy lately, but the second was unreal. Thought he'd took the third too far, tight angle, man back on the line......... Top corner, cheers

Not sure which goal was my favourite last night, they were all ridiculous and class in their own way. Didn't look that bothered when he broke the record! Tello impresses me everytime I see him, that finish was pretty difficult I thought and he made it look easy. Stupidly fast, can finish and is skillful. What is he like 19 or 20? I hope Balague is just being a bitter Espanyol/Liverpool fan. Would hate to see him go there!

 Was just coming on to post that! Really fucking irritated me. To be fair the crowd gave Ben Arfa a lot of stick for that too, but then Williamson did the same thing and it sent them over the edge. Was only watching on the box TBF, but it sounded like cheers when HBA casullay passed it inside and then jeers when Williamson managed to get his legs tangled up and trip over the ball 8 times. Looked like a Giraffe that had just been pinged with a tranqulizer dart. Still, I don't want to see Hatem doing that too often near our box. He's so one footed, he kept cutting onto his left foot and running/passing towards our box

Similar to the Villa game, he had quite a few chances/half chances to score, but only got the one. I think the fact he's getting into these positions is really promising and I don't think he'll ever be ruthless like Ba, more of a 1 every 3 or 4 chances type of player. Think it was Redknapp who was saying he's more of an instinctive finisher and isn't as good when he's got time. He's clearly made an assumption on the spot, but he might actually be right. All 3 of his goals to date have been on the spot, split second decisions. Might be a coincidence mind you. I read somewhere he was offside a lot in Germany, but he timed his runs to perfection yesterday, really impressed by him. Great movement, lively, link up play is slowly getting there and he looks a real goal getter. Not had a striker with his ability to get in behind for a long while and so far he's looking like a great buy. Now if we could just find out how to use him properly and stop punting it and hoping....
-
Should have started yesterday, that formation and no left winger was awful.
-
Well I hope he surprises us. 4-3-3 with Barca like football. Perch can be Busquets, Guthrie is Iniesta and Cabaye Xavi. Play some lovely passing football and win 5-0. In reality it's going to be some lopsided 4-4-2, with players out of position all over the shop. Reminds me a bit of Stoke away and Everton home last season. Really strange changes from AP.
-
Perch for Santon?! Ergh

He always fails to miss the point does Douglas Like I said elsewhere, I no longer pay much attention to him since he said Williamson is better as a replacement for Colo than Taylor, as he was more similar. He was being a right attention seeker after Messi scored 5 the other week and all. Again massively missed the point when he was comparing #thespecialone and Barca. He should stick to talking about Bradford and Basketball.
