might be your lucky day, pretty convinced I used all my luck up yesterday! Might do a straight f/c with Astrology and Thomas Chippendale, shame it only pays 2 places so can't go e/w. Shantaram doesn't have much to find with Astrology using Main Sequence as a yardstick. But he really struggled to win an average looking maiden at like 1/10 in the soft the other week. I know the Cecil yard are sweet on TC and it p*ssed in on soft a couple of weeks back. After that, Noble Mission hasn't impressed me that much, not even 100% sure he'll stay, 4/1 seems stingey, although probably does like a bit of cut in the ground. Thought Worthy beat him at Newmarket (albeit with 5lbs in hand) and then was about 6 lengths behind Astrology in the Derby, was easliy beaten when trying to go alongside him as well. Everything points to another AOB win I reckon, just want something to stick in the forecast, as 11/10 is too short.

Similar to yesterday, 3 yankees: 50p e/w: Newfangled @ 9/4 Gatewood @ 10/3 Estimate @ 7/2 Global Village @ 9/1 Stupid 25p e/w for up to £10k: The Gold Cheongsam @ 9/1 Irish History @ 16/1 Danadana @ 8/1 Decent Fella @ 18/1 50p straight: Astrology @ 11/10 Homecoming Queen @ 11/4 Mijhaar @ 4/1 Yazdi @ 9/2 Not sure on the singles yet. Astrology is a bit short and no value in the race e/w as it only pays 2 places. The 3.45 is ridiculous. The 3 year old fillies have all took turns beating each other and the form is a right mess. Looks a minefield and might leave it well alone.

Aye i agree, i wasnt even going to bet today either FWIW i am more confident in a horse that has never ran in boggy ground than one thats ran s*** in it so it still has a good chance in my eyes. David Craig was on SSN news while i was getting ready for work and made a point that on the rails(think he said stand side) it was marginally better than good to soft compared to the rest. Hopefully it can get across there from the middle stalls early on. Often jockeys will gamble and come across to the rail with better ground, seen it work quite a few times. You end up going further though and unless there is a massive difference, it hardly seems worth it. Short straight at Ascot as well, so you'd have to swing round a very wide corner if it is the stands rail that Craig was on about! Thinkg Newfangled will hack up, tempted not to do big singles today though. The Gold Cheongsam and Irish History e/w are tempting me as well.

Gatewood would win easily on good/good to firm IMO, just don't think he's ever raced on soft. Mijhaar is getting backed and was well thought of last year, Danadana is progressive as well, but again ground is probably a bit Expect some more big priced winners due to the swampl like conditions!
-
Another quality days racing then. What's everyone on? Think the ground will really fuck up some decent horses, soft now with more rain forecast! Astrology a bit short, but should win. Fillies race looks a nightmare and the form is a mess. Buick has two great chances with Newfangled and Gatewood, you just don't know how some of the horses will handle the bog. Will probably do some yankees again, post them up in a bit. Repeat of yesterday would be nice

50p x 22. Same as a Lucky 15, but with no singles. Because it was best price guaranteed, it paid even more than I thought. £473.99! Just shy of £3k if Mister Marc won. Still, well happy with that. Off to Newmarket to see Madness tomorrow night. The racing usually resembles donkies on Brighton Beach, so will no doubt lose it all Dunno what the price will be like, but really fancy Newfangled tomorrow. Buick has anothet great chance with Aiken on Saturday as well.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Fast or Free
-
Seems like the favourites never win these big fields. Unless the horse is potentially group level, you have to be drawn on the side with pace. So much luck involved with the big fields, seems rare the best horse actually wins. Still, been an alright day, but it could get a lot better in about 15-20 minutes time!

Doubt that will get changed, both from Godolphin. Maybe a few days ban or summit. If the stewards enquiry is against Dettori, it will be to do with him bumping Opinion Poll I am assuming? Only watching on mute, on some grainy stream on my iphone, but Barzalona did seem to snatch up a bit when looking like he'd win well.
-
Well done Andy, I had a £1 reverse tricast with the two and F&G, plus £2 on CV and the £5 e/w I had on Opinion Poll. Potentially better off with CV winning though, as if Fast or Free wins I'm on for about £400 from my 50p e/w yankee! Come on Ryan you angry little man. Get him up!
-
Who's running this offer? I got a similar thing from SportingBet on the first day, but they seem to have stopped that it now. Aye it was SportingBEt. HAd to blag them to even get my bet for today, as the offer apparently stopped at 12pm yesterday. Whinged once to an operator and they just give me the 20 quid
-
£5 e/w on Opinion Poll. The ground is soft on the round course apparently. Won't suit CV or F&G so you never know. Should at least get placed.
-
Nice. Just a shame fecking Sportingbet don't give you best price guaranteed. Could have got 8s with BetVictor, but used my freebet on Princess Highway. Got 13/2 in the end.
-
Another good start for everyone
-
Agreed. According to the missus old man (works for Darley), Frankie is really keen on Colour Vision and asked to switch from Opinion Poll. Read that there is no genuine front runner or pace in the field, so might not be a true test. CV finished like a train in his last race, which would maybe suggest this could play into his hands? As you say though, doesn't look like much of a betting race. F&G too short, but his form in the book on the others. Maybe a small reverse tricast with F&G, CV and Saddler's Rock? Doubt it would pay much mind.

Gone for a small bet on Vow EW. In regards to The Fugue, I'm not so sure. Had some tough races already this season. This will be her 4th Group race in about 6 weeks, she won't like the ground any softer (think more rain is forecast) and I'm not keen on the Epsom form, that race was a farce and I personally learnt nowt from it. Not saying she's a lay, as she's arguably the best filly in the race. Would just rather take her on with a bit of value. Looks wide open, Shirocco Star has sound form, Momentary, Vow.... even Colima should run better than her price suggests. There are lots of chances, in a quality looking race. Just think 9/4 ish is a bit short. Gone with Princess Highway and a small e/w on Kailani. Still got The Fugue in one of my silly multiples mind.
-
Doesn't Blanc's contract expire soon anyway? Can't see him getting another one, as he's done nowt in this tournament to suggest he deserves it. Easily beaten by a shit Sweden team and should have beaten us easily. Instead they played with no strikers and tried to out do each other in the pointless passing stakes outside our box. With the players they have available, they should do a lot better TBH. They'll get humped by Spain and Blanc will be off

My selections today. Said I wasn't going to do a load of silly multiples, but that failed : 50p E/W Yankee: Mister Marc @ 7/1 Princess Highway @ 6/1 Colour Vision @ 9/2 Fast or Free @ 9/1 50p Straight Yankee: The Fugue @ 9/4 Fame and Glory @ Evens Tales of Grimm @ 6/1 Nicholascopernicus @ 7/1 Silly, pointless 25p E/W Yankee that would return up to £13k : Annunciation @ 9/1 Momentary @ 10/1 Kahruman @ 20/1 Handsome Man @ 16/1 The 5.00 looks an absolute nightmare. 11/2 the field and I can't split Starboard, Stipulate or Tales of Grimm. Plus Mukhadram won well at Newmarket last time I went and Wrotham Heath is well thought of as well! Been saying Tales of Grimm all week though, so might have my free bet on that. Don't fancy many other singles, but will no doubt drain the pot down backing shit throughout the day. Princess Highway £10 e/w to get me my free bet for tomorrow.

same here, not the worst result ALthough judging by your previous posts, more money staked?
-
SYT too good. Think CH went a bit early, gave SYT something to chase, bit like Workforce in the Eclipse. Ran well in defeat though and came clear of the field. Had the second and third though and got 22/1 and 25/1 shots (Bonnie Brae and Brae Hill) left in the e/w yankee, plus £2.50 e/w. So hopefully they win and place to claw some dollar back. Still not too down for the week. About £40 overall I think with bets and winnings left to come.
-
And she's married to Sheikh Mohammed. Not for the money of course Only done £30 on Carlton House in the end and a £5 s/fc with SYT to beat CH as a bit of a saver. Fuck that though, come on Queenie, get us a winner.
-
This is going well So another place, best I can hope for is e/w trebles and doubles now. Going to pay sod all!
-
Nrain drifting like a rudderless ship! 7/2 out to 13/2. Something amiss there!
-
Still e/w on Aljamaheer in one of the yankees, just need the other 3 to win for it to be worth it! When a 20/1 second string wins the first. You do get a bad feeling like
