Can't see us going anywhere north of £2.5m. Suppose it's a gamble for Watford, if he goes they might get relegated, but they probably need the cash and Mariappa might want to leave anyway. Add to the fact he's only got 18 months left on his contract (I think) they could end up selling him for less in the summer. I reckon they will be hoping for a better offer from Swansea, Wigan and Arsenal interest seems like agent talk.

Typical misleading headline as well, sounds to me as if we're not getting anyone. But the headline makes it sound like we've had a bid accepted or have at least upped it again.

Just pissed off at how inconsistent decisions have been lately, whether it be the on pitch officials or the 'mystery panel' that looks at these incidents. Oddly, this was nowhere near as bad as the Bardsley or Spearing incidents, yet he got away with those. Win some, loss some. O well. No point appealing, we're not a SKY 4 club and he's not English. Matt Scott from the Guardian has a point like, England players do seem to get preferential treatment. But, I can still see why he's been done and it is deserved. Perhaps we could ask for the ban to be reduced like the FA did with Rooney? Could tell them Cabaye has been frustrated and depressed after nearly getting his legs snapped off by Shaun Derry and Matt Sparrow. Just hope we don't see Perch in the team............

People (including myself) were worrying about him burning out. Came straight back after injuries for France, played in every International game, covering a lot more ground than he did for Lille and still trying to get used to the league and his new team. His form has been hit and miss at best of late, not saying it isn't to do with having no Ba or Tiote and some questionable tactics. But I think the above points can hardly help his cause. I am praying that he doesn't get banned, but it might end up being a blessing in disguise..... It won't like, but I'm trying to look for a positive!

Footballing ability and insults are similar then. Agree, but still doesn't justify what Cabaye did, does it? Cabaye was extremely stupid in that situation and I hope he doesn't get the ban he deserves. We all know Cabaye will excel with two good forwards instead of one or none, and I also think that if Ben Arfa can get back to a form he has been showing at times this season and impose himself more in the game it will help Cabaye. I am not trying to justify it, just point out the hideous flaws and inconsistency in officiating. Been a big talking point lately and it doesn't seem to be going away. The FA and thier mystery panel and convulted rules don't help either.
