Not the most glamorous fixture, early Sunday kick off, not long after Christmas, live on TV. If we get anywhere near 46k we're doing alright, as QPR won't bring up many I wouldn't have thought.

Spot on. I live fairly local to them, so a lot of my mates are Spurs fans. I've never enjoyed the trip to WHL, because we are usually shite and the area is a bit of a dive. Still, they play some quality football, have some exciting players and it makes a change seeing another team up there challenging. I'd never hear the end of it from my mates, but I'd love to see them win it over a City, Chelsea, Man U or Liverpool. Oh, I can't stand Redknapp, or any of their coaching staff for that matter, but it's not enough to massively dislike the whole club.

Isn't he more of a winger/no.10 type? I've voted yes, but I can see it going sour if we did get him.

Is Helguson fit? He's scored a fair few this season I think, Bothroyd and Macehda don't offer much of a threat.

Have to agree with Ryder's comments about Vuckic, even from just the highlights, you can tell he's a cut above. He actually looked quick at that level, his footwork, vision, passing and shooting was all first rate. In 5 minutes of highlights he was pretty much involved in everything good we did. Him and Sammy looked lively, really promising to see. I just wonder whether he will ever be able to play in a flat midfield 4? Looked a bit leggy to play that role against WBA, but he clearly has the talent and ability to play in the first team.

Barron was highly rated though. Not saying he wasn't? Just that Woodman might have targetd a specific weakness or improved a certain area of his game. It is probably just down to confidence and experience. Was hoping maybe someone was ITK because they mentioned Woodman in a talk in or summat

There is going to be tweaks to be made and each coach might have a different view on strengths and weaknesses and areas that need fine tuning. A lot of it is probably down to him developing as a player and gaining confidence. But his positioning seems a lot better and he's usually really quick off his line. Is it something they have targeted or just come with experience? His only real flaw is his kicking, but it was much improved against Man U.

Anyone think Woodman has played a part? Just seems like a bit of a fruit loop TBH, I'm sure they all speak highly of him and say he is a great laugh etc. But there must be a reason for him being here other than entertainment. Krul has come on leaps and bounds since his arrival.

Exactly. As others have said, we're not really that convincing just yet when going 4-4-1-1 and I'm sure HBA would prefer to play out wide than not at all, why it hasn't been asked yet I don't know! Think Venkman nailed it, AP has got it wrong and is trying to hide the fact to cover up his own misjudgement. Pardew obviously had his doubts about his ability to perform on the wing, despite his two best performances in a Newcastle shirt coming from out wide. Someone told you did they Alan, didn't want to check with Hatem himself?

They are starting to resemble a team now. TBF, even under Bruce, they always looked fairly solid I thought. Never looked like conceeding many, but never looked like scoring many either. Really dull tactics though, it's a good job they have Sessegnon and McClean (who looks a bit of a gem). Because barring the odd free kick and great cross from Larsson the rest of their team are so pedestrian and mediocre, dull as dishwater. We get shit off them for singing the same songs all the while. I could only make out about 3 or 4 yesterday. The main one that seems to last most the game, can only be described as "owww ohh ah ow ohh owwwaa" or something like that

Journos on twitter were really raving about him for the first 30 minutes or so, saying he created quite a bit and looked class on the ball. They said the reverse pass for Cabaye's miss was sublime and he got down the line a few times. Watched the highlights on NUFCTV and there was none of it! Didn't see the Williamson chance off the bar or when Best nearly tapped into an open net. Poor quality as well, if you're not a member and you were thinking of paying just to watch this, save your money. Oh and that goal Shades od Messi vs Getafe.

Love this man. Casually back heeling it off a Man U player for a goal kick, strolling out of defence with the ball and the slide tackle that looked about a second or two still early and he still won the ball. PLEASE SIGN A NEW DEAL!

That's why I am a bit torn and confused about it all! Having two right footers on the left seems a bit counter productive and Santon just seems so one footed. He tried a cross against WBA that went straight out and that is one of the only times I can remember him even using his left. Does look lethal going forward though and it is probably because he's playing on the left side, with the ability to drift in as you say.

I thought it was a slightly above average Shola performance, inconsistent and infuriating. Some sublime moments, some utter shit. He looked fucked after about half an hour, but in his defence he held it up well most the time and won a few flick ons. Thought he was one of our poorer players on the night, along with Jonas and R.Taylor. The love/hate relationship continues!

Didn't we sell Dyer to West Ham for about £8m, Nolan for £4.5m and then got Ba for free, they must hate us! Although we did sell them Parker I suppose. Not seen enough of Tomkins, always talked about, seen him a few times and thought he was shit at SJP and indifferent in the other game I can remember (sunderland I think). Uncle is a West Ham fan and raves about him, speaks really highly of him.

Can't believe how hard he hit it with such a short run up, oh and how accurate it was! Similar to the Blackburn free kick in terms of distance and where it ended up! Gutted I couldn't make the match, would have had a stunning view from where I sit, celebrated right near as well.

Right winger now Ron! We all know HBA won't play out wide and I think I'd rather see Raylor there than Obertan at present.

Average/poor player, but incredible at getting back on the line. Has the most goal lince clearances in the league I believe? He was much improved against Man U, but still unconvinced by him. Just looks so unatural and scared when on the ball. If he did sign a new deal, I would want him as a squad player, but like that's going to happen with Ashley in charge

He was brilliant the other night. As other have said, he was caught ball watching and letting his man go a few times, was also a bit narow at times. Stood next to Jonas and neither tracked the runner, think the understanding will come with time though, really impressed with him and excited by how good he could be, he's bloody fast going forward with a great touch. Undecided whether I would rather see him on the right or left???
