Deserved fuck all. Got fuck all. You can go on about how good their gameplan was all you want and it was. Iraola schooled Howe today. Some of the unforced errors have been embarrassing. Reality check for the CL push. Few poorer bits of play creeping in the last few weeks. But not this bad. Played a decent team and been played off the park today.

Their midfield has been like kryptonite to him. Much sharper and quicker than him. Shithouse fouls when he does get by them. Then quite a few borderline ones where the ref doesn’t buy his dive. Not at the races today despite his goal. But then again, not many have been.

I love your optimism. But we’ve barely created anything. Hopefully they start gassing. As that might be our only hope.

Agreed. Iraola has had his pants down that half. Have no idea what to do with their press and we keep plodding along trying to play through it to no success. Are all the players having an off day? Or is it because Bournemouth have executed their gameplan perfectly and we have no clue what to do against them?

They’ve been great. But absolute insanity from us to continually try and play through their press. When we’ve barely managed it for 50 minutes. Defence all over the place and the forwards have been anonymous and we’ve not got them service, anyway. Massive 45 this. Not many decent options. But Joelinton needs to come off before he’s sent off. Not as useful on a yellow, anyway.

Horrendous trying to play round their press from the back. It’s like they’re targeting Burn, Botman is uncomfortable that side and Hall is having an off day. We all know about Tino’s limitations on the ball. We give it back to them almost more than if we went long. I hate to go all John Beck. But feel like we could try and turn them round now and then. Might tire them out even more for later in the game and all.

Again. Our centre mids on the edge of the box are never a goal threat. Tonali would be. But he won’t find himself there much.

Hall looks like he’s had a heavy night and this is a Sunday League game. Miles off it.
