Not gonna read them. He is very good at saying the right thing in fairness to him. Talk is cheap though. Going off the URL, what is Ashley backing exactly? Does anybody have any idea what his 'plans' are? We have no structure, no style, no system. The only constants are that fucking awful free kick and the soft goals we conceed. Our playing style varies from Arsenal'esque to worse than Stoke in less than 15 minutes. We don't take cups seriously. We don't bring youth players on particularly well. Oh and the signings we make seem to be at random and we don't target a specific style of player or even a certain position. Just as long as they're French, we're all over it. We've gone backwards and our stars seem to be actually regressing as players under Pardew.

No, somebody is suggesting that you're talking out of your arse as it's easy to sit in your nice warm living room rather than sitting in the freezing cold, having spent a lot of money on a season ticket only to see an idiot turn a win into a defeat. It's not easy TBF Mick. My laptop screen can confirm that I am not defending him in any way though and I agree with you on this. That result was his fault. Even if you take into account the missed chances. He threw the game by sitting on a lead and taking off our only two creative players at the wrong times. The Marv sub makes no sense. Shola starting makes no sense. Killing a shit team for 30 odd minutes then giving up on attacking also makes no sense. See a pattern developing here?

I am now at the stage where I am not remotely excited by the prospect of incoming transfers, as I think Pardew has lost the plot. Should we sign anyone, I'm positive he won't even get them playing to their potential. He's being cowardly in his team selections, he's being FAR too negative, he's repeating the same tried and tested tactics and set pieces, despite them clearly not working. He's so rigid with how he sets us up and we never perform for a full 90 minutes. His stock response to any bit of pressure or goal is to abandon everything we've done before and hoof the ball forwards and lose all shape. Which some might argue is how we normally set up any way. No wonder we've never won after going behind with his sub choices and playing style. Now he's blaming everyone but himself, even a sly dig at the fans. His frank and honest interviews after the Reading game were anything but. Just to follow on from what others have mentioned. I am surprised at the free pass the media are giving him. John Cross on Talksport this morning saying he's a terrific manager, blaming it on injuries and us needing to buy players. Even my non-NUFC supporting mates can see what's wrong FFS. Most of them are plastic twat fans as well. The local media don't seem to even mention it either. He's repeating history and after a good start to his career with us, it's all turning to shit. I don't think we can rely on 3 teams being worse than us, as we just lost to the worst team (IMO) in the league at home FFS. Resigned to going down. I'm sure I used to be a glass half full kind of guy. I blame all this snow.

Didn't he turn them down twice and actually refuse to meet with Redknapp last week? Fuck me how much are they paying him I bet Arry is really concerned about that wage bill now. Money talks.

    Loïc Remy

If Fergie is fit I'd like to see him play. Will offer the same amount of protection to Santon while delivering much better balls in to the box to the frontline. Would get some actual width as well. 3 out of the 4 wide players in that formation would be cutting in all the while. There would be no point in having 2 up top. Especially seeing as Jonas and Santon can't cross.

Haven't they just signed Lucas Moura? Haven't they also already got a shit load of forwards and attacking mids? Don't really follow Ligue 1 that much, but I'm sure it was mentioned by that David Crossan or Matt Spiro on twitter.
  8. How is that? Just let him go for peanuts because he's unhappy and allegedly dipped his wick? Yep, we have little choice.
  9. The article seems like sensationalism to me. But we've not heard fuck all from Colo for months and his agent has only said San Lorenzo wouldn't be possible because of money. Never once said he's happy at NUFC and wants to stay. Perhaps those silly rumours flying around, about him taking his song too literally are true? What a nightmare this season has been!

Not quite sure why I am sticking up for him here, but hadn't Taylor only just returned from injury? Also, Cisse had started the season terribly and he was probably hoping Shola was going to be the mackem slayer once again.
  11. Imagine the carnage if you increased it to 3 yellows though! Tiote would have a field day Atheltico, instead of Atlético really irritates me for some reason. Agree on the pen/red card thing as well. A dead ball from 12 yards with just the keeper to beat is a pretty clear goalscoring oppourtunity! Still, that helped us out this season. Wouldn't have beaten Wigan otherwise!

Agree. Despite hte fact we need at the very least 2 players. I expect we will get no one. Then Pardew will peddle the excuses for the board come Februrary 1st.

    Sammy Ameobi

This is all getting a bit what-have-the-Romans-ever-done-for-us. He won us a League Cup tie last season, when he beat a couple of defenders and fired in a shot from outside the area. And really that's far from being the only time when he's caused defenders problems. Scepticism is okay, but he seems to have inherited the Ameobi syndrome, where only his mistakes get recognised. Simmer down. It was a genuine question, as I couldn't remember and I was half expecting someone to chirp up with "well he's a shit impact sub, he's never scored/set up a goal or affected a result" type remark. For the record, I think he has more about him than Ferguson. Who seems to play in straight lines, seems a bit of a weakling and also looks poor when starting games. I think Sammy is raw, but he has as much of a chance of doing something positive for our team as Fergie. Both look some way off the level required for first team football though. So it's worrying that they're getting regular game time. They should be ironing out their mistakes and learning their trade at a lower level.

We dealt with them quite well for a change. But you got the feeling that every corner and set piece was going to result in a goal. When we get a corner you think first man and a free kick you know it's a foul from Williamson or straight off for a goal kick. Depressing.

Definition of insanity? Have you played Far Cry 3 over Christmas by any chance? The set pieces are horrendous. What happened to our set piece coach and extra time to work on them? Didn't he say before the Stoke game we were going to vary them a lot more..... On the set piece thing, I somehow managed to get into a row with some lad at Arsenal about it. Passing comment to my mate about the back post/front post dink, that never leads to anything. It was right on the halfway line and out wide. Colo dinked it to the back post area, straight to one of their players, they countered and nearly scored. I said again to my mate I was sick to death of watching our clueless set pieces. Some bloke in front pipes up, that the Williamson set piece is only front post, there was nothing else Colo could have done with the free kick and to get off the manager's back. I suggested not kicking the ball straight to the opposition and actually varying what we do at set plays, like maybe once in a while playing it short, quick or whipping it in for a change might help. Seeing as we never score from them, something has to be up? He told me I know nothing about football and he hated my cockney accent (I'm not a cockney)

Usually works quite well as an impact sub I think. Although I'm not sure we've ever scored or owt because of him coming on? Barring the odd Europa game, he has almost exclusively looked shite when starting. Just to echo what others are saying. He should be out on loan getting experience, but because of the mess we made of the summer window, he's playing regularly
  17. "Later in the game, I think he sees yellow/red there" See Marin the other night. So leg breakers are acceptable, as long as it's in the first 5-10 minutes? Also, the horrendous inconsistencies with second yellows. I know common sense can be applied in certain instances. But the amount of times players escape an obvious second yellow does my head in. Take Valencia against us for example. Already booked for an awful tackle on Simpson. With about 15 minutes remaining, he not only pulls back Santon for about 10 yards, he then clatters into him from behind. Just a foul, not even a warning from Dean. He then crunches Anita and brings his trailing leg through in a nothing area of the pitch and again fuck all happens the same as before. It happens too often for me. I don't want games being ruined by players getting 2 yellows every week. But there are so many instances where refs just seem to ignore the rules because the player has already been booked.
  18. Suppose Sammy's tweet about him has been mentioned? Said he's "sick" assuming he either looked shit hot in training or he's already got the flu.
  19. Sorry. I am a filthy southerner after all Although half Geordie I might add. Said that in my head in a Partidge voice for some reason.
  20. Debuchy, Debuchy, Debuchy - he says why aye pet Debuchy, Debuchy, Debuchy - our best defender yet Debuchy, Debuchy, Debuchy - he bursts the fucking net DEBUCHY.
  21. Comes across as a bit of a cock in his first interview I thought. Sounded almost bitter towards us. No mention of fans, manager or thanks to West Ham or us. Just basically, we're shit compared to Chelsea, they used to smash us and now he's looking forward to playing with top players and smashing other teams. Oh well, good luck to him. He was class for us.
  22. Probably a giggs, but didn't his agent come out and rubbish this? But did say there were issues to be resolved. Some google translate article?
