Won't play at Brighton then. FFS, was hoping to see how he got on.

Tiote needs to stop worrying about bookings, just tackle and take whatever comes, it's his natural game. He's still getting ridiculous bookings though? More of a worry for me is his tendancy to lose it in dangerous areas and the fact that he's caught the Nicky Butt disease. Just dinks it through to the goalkeeper, trying that shit Hollywood ball all the time. As for Debuchy. He looks class and he'll improve us going forward on the right hand side. Will it stop us conceeding soft goals and will he be used to maximum effect? I doubt it. Will be a massive improvement on Simpson mind.

After starting off as one of our best players this season, some of his defending has been woeful of late. Playing people on side, ball watching, out of position, going off all gung ho and not getting back etc etc. I really like the guy, one of my favourite players from the current team. But it makes you wonder what he's being coached? Same mistakes every week FFS. Same goes for all of the defence really.

I foolishly keep thinking he's turned the corner. For nearly the full game against Man U and for 70 minutes against Arsenal, we played some fantastic stuff with a weakened team. We outpassed and had more possession than Arsenal FFS and kept the ball down. Soft goals and fatigue cost us in both matches. Then, when the pressure is back on at home to get a result, we revert to type, play hopeful, aimless long balls and lack any craft, gameplan or style. You could hear him bellowing out when to go long last night and our players always took a touch, then booted it long. You can't say the same in the last two games. So whilst we all have a go at the likes of Willo, Simpson, Perch and Krul for going long all the while, every fucker is at it. I accept injuries and a small squad (talent wise, not numbers) has played a part. But I've had it with him. It's not just that the football is ugly and frustrating to watch, it's how clueless it all is. We don't have the players for his prehistoric tactics to work, yet we continue with them any way. Watching us float the ball to Distin and Heitinga all night was fucking painful and depressing. You may as well turn off or leave when the other team scores, as it's painfully obvious we will play even more hoofball, become even more disjointed and we won't get anything from the game. I have never felt like this with any other manager. We have had worse managers that play even worse football, but Pardew has some good players at his disposal, that are being criminally misused. Even in the relegation season, I din't think "point at best" after we go a goal down. That record of his is a joke. He doesn't know how to change the game for the good, his subs are usually baffling and the way we set up is laughable. So it's no wonder we never do fuck all after conceeding. We're stuck with this guy, but I really wouldn't care if he got sacked today TBH. History seems to be repeating itself and all those Charlton, Reading, West Ham and Southampton fans are looking like they were spot on. Charlatan and a fraud.

4-4-2 or Cisse out wide. Either way that is a complete joke. Just when you think Pards might be turning the corner in regards to playing style and formation, he serves up that. Think I would genuinely rather Ferguson to start or even Tav. As I think Perch is woeful at right back.

Got a horrible feeling we won't get a replacement, or perhaps we'll get someone underwhelming at the last minute. Can even see a Kuqi like panic signing for free if we fail to land anyone. We're dangerously close to Shola starting games on a regular basis......

Ah fuck. Know I've read that I'm a bit sad :'( Was thinking I had totally accepted him going and thought it was for the best, now I'm gutted TBH. Probably already been said. But he looked like he'd played his last game for us at Arsenal. Came over at the end and was there for some time. Was hardly like Lovenkrands or the Nolan and Barton lap of honour, but he doesn't always acknowledge the fans, especially after a humping.

Trying to flush out interest so we can complete the Debuchy deal? One out, one in and all that? Probably just being massively paranoid, but it wouldn't surprise me. This will also sound ridiculous, but I am at the point where I want him to go quickly and I don't want him to sign another contract. Not that there is any chance of that any way. He's greedy on the pitch (and apparently off it), we've pushed Cisse out wide to accomodate him, despite him clearly not being any good there and the circus that follows him round with all his fake agents, entourage and release clause is tedious as fuck. Good player and I'll be sad to see him go, but I'd rather get it all out the way and hope that we sign a decent replacement.....
-
Debuchy, Douglas, Remy In. Ba and Simpson out. That would be a pretty damn good window. Not saying it will happen, but we need a right back and a centre back as a matter of urgency. Then we need a wide player/forward if Ba leaves. Marv has started to look a player, albeit in a bit more of a central role, we have HBA to come back, Obertan has been less shit..... If we had a front three of Remy, Cisse and HBA, with the others pushing for a place, I wouldn't complain!

Is racist abuse still an issue in North East football?

In a pub near Kings Cross before the Arsenal game. We were watching the Spurs v mackems and various renditions of the 'sunderland's a massive club were sung'. About 5 lads piped up with, "You've got the Punjab army, in the stands".... Not many joined in and they just carried on on their own. Ridiculous. In the same pub, a load of Derby fans were singing Demba Ba's name to the Adebayor song. They came across as right wankers before they chirped up with this, I didn't really see the need. His name doesn't even fit and I wasn't aware of any reason for Derby to hate us? Or they are just casually racist, idiot fans. -

Oops, live even Cornwall is nice though. -
Better clubs? We pay very competitively to the top players, have a very respected manager and play in front of big passionate crowds in a superb ground. Its about sticking your chest and saying we are Sunderland and are serious Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=749236&page=2#ixzz2FPJDzjqE About signing Lescott on loan...

The same as the 'send em back' comment about second generation Asians and Muslims. I still don't understand this, where are we sending them exactly? Who's having them? I've never noticed it at the football too much TBH. I love down south and get to quite a few home and away matches. I've seen a few EDL - Wallsend Division twats, heard the odd 'town full of p****' chant but usually only sung by a minority. But there was a lad I used to stand next to in L7 that was a right twat. All kinds of racist abuse aimed at our own players, the other team's players, opposing fans, whoever really, he wasn't particular. I remember him once shouting to some Wolves fan (I think) something along the lines of "you p*** c***, I hope you get cancer you vile bastad" About ten people (including myself) told him he was out of order and to pipe down. I go over the top and say some stupid things in the heat of the moment, but that is just fucking disgusting. -
Nope not player of the season imo. Been poor for awhile. He & Colo often concede goals on that side. I thought he had a brilliant first 10 games or so. It's only in the last 2-3 games I've noticed him getting caught out a lot more. Although his defending and positioning has always left a lot to be desired in fairness, I thought it had come on a lot. We've not really had any standout performers bar HBA and Ba. I think HBA has had some shockers though and Ba is fucking infuriating with his constant turning into trouble, running into blind alleys and scuffing the ball along the deck from 30 yards. We're hardly spoilt for choice!
-
Probably our player of the season. But positionally he's been all over the shop in the last two games and I think he's been a bit crap in general TBH.
-
Spot on this.
-
Time for Marv to step up. The hard work of Jonas and physicality of Perch will only get you so far. Needs to start ahead of one of these against QPR.
-
Did they show Simpson up with their technique and superior passing ability?
-
Remember he did this before Spurs? Made it sound like there was no chance whatsoever of HBA playing. Then he started, scored and got MOTM Kept his powder dry for the Fulham game as well, wouldn't say exactly which players would be back and never confirmed HBA. On the flip side of that, I did think against Fulham, that Colo, Ba and HBA all looked half a yard off it and could well have been playing with a niggle or minor injury. Ah fuck knows. Him playing will be the only highlight for me though. As I expect a right arse raping off these.
-
Doubtful for the City game according to AP in his presser Hope Pards is just bluffing, like he did with him for the first game of the season. However, we may have rushed him back too early. We did it with Colo.

He said cross, not corner....

I don't see how anyone can say Ronaldo is better than Messi. But at the same time, I think he gets a raw deal because Messi is much better and doesn't seem as much of a twat as Ronaldo. He's the best of the rest and by some distance as well. He's not a very likeable character though is he? He has a punchable face and even his voice is irritating. He looks like an utter twat when he celebrates, he skips about like a right fruit and often looks close to tears when he doesn't get a decision in his favour. I do genuinely think people underate him because he's seemingly a bit of a cunt
-
Agree with it all bar the Cabaye bit? Unless I'm reading it wrong, I really don't think he hides? Even when he's playing badly he puts a shift in, gets stuck in and covers a lot of ground. Anita seemed like he was hiding earlier in the season, but it was probably just the game passing him by due to him not being up to speed.

Had one good effort and even showed a bit of skill in the corner when he dinked it over their player (Risse?) and got in behind, before winning a corner. Really like the little guy!
